Works perfectly, I'm impressed.
I needed a second optical connection to my TV. I picked this one because of the USB power, I was skeptical of completely passive ones. While my use case is simple 48k PCM audio, I'm pleased to report it works great without any glitches or drops. I also like how there isn't a switch, all outputs are hot at all times. The included cable is nice too for the price. Very satisfied, strong recommendation.

Works as it should once you get it setup..
The unit works well and beyond initial set up issues, I would give it 5 Stars, But, Setup was not as straightforward as it would appear and it took 20 mins of tinkering to get it to function. Turns out the cable was an issue....

Solid unit great so far
Excellent for the price. Quick Summary: -Pass through audio with no internal volume control - cables connect securely - small -no USB charger included but that's normal these days -Only a slight delay echo, better than most Very impressed, time will tell but a solid performer so far. Be aware, the units type C power jack is shallow so don't feel for an insertion click or the cable end disappearing into unit.

Solved Audio Problem!
This splitter works great to send one optical signal to two devices simultaneously. Signal source is my TV audio Out. One splitter output goes to my hearing aid TV connector and the second to my Denon receiver optical Audio In. The Denon not a simple setup (because of Denon, not this device) although it is worth the work to split the audio from HDMI in the Denon. Result is Iโm able to get audio boost (with independent volume control at the TV connector and hearing aids) to my hearing aids simultaneously with normal audio from speakers, or mute the speakers and just get audio into hearing aids. No complaints here about USB cables or power interfaces.
