I have ordered several of the Bates Choice (I know marketing name) products and none have disappointed so far. I may have paid a dollar or two more for these Bates Choice items but they are very much worth it compared to the cheaper and lower quality competitors on Amazon. These putty knives, scrapers, and painter 5 in 1 tools are Old School quality with real wood handles and thick steel blades. I am tired of the plastic handles that loosen and break over time, and I am tired of paying the Sherwin Williams prices for their scrapers, putty knives, and 5 in 1 tools. These are an Outstanding alternative to both. I use these almost daily and the have held up very well with no wobbly or broken handles. Whatever company is producing and marketing these Bates Choice products is doing an outstanding job. These are pro-quality all the way round and have been great to own. One tip if you buy them; cover the handles in boiled linseed oil before you use them. Maybe do 3 coats. It will protect the wood and make cleaning the handles easier.

Bought this for my job. All great sharp, easy to use, very functional, sturdy and versatile.

My favorite thing was is the price! Great price. I have o ly used once so far to aid in removing trim and a door frame. Worked as expected. Sturdy (as far as I know I havent used these types of tools since I was a kid in my dads garage lol). I was happy I could get a set at a great price.

Oak handles and made down south in LA. Mildly rough finish on the 5:1 cupped edge for cleaning out rollers, but it won't affect the knap of the roller. Solid deal!

This 5-piece scraper set is a great deal for the price. I used it for some small home improvement projects, like removing old paint and caulk, and it worked really well. The tools feel sturdy and come in handy for all kinds of little tasks around the house.
