This is a great product.
I have tried this ready cal powder on two kitty's. First was a senior with cancer. She didn't like it, wouldn't eat it. It would have been a great help to slow her weight loss. But she refused to eat anything and didn't last long after her diagnosis. So,we adopted an 8 month old kitten from our local SPCA. Merle is a BIG boy! He looks like he is 8 years except in his face he is still very kittenish. He was a little lethargic and his fur was dry/dull. He was 8 lbs but looked skinny for his size. We tried multiple foods & lots of it but he was not gaining weight. I started sprinkling the Ready Cal powder on his food. HE LOVES IT! He cant get enough. He recognizes the tub at feeding time. He has gained two lbs and his fur is healthy & soft. He is very playful and has tons of energy now. This high calorie powder is easy to use ,smells good. It has lots of vitamins & minerals that his food must be lacking. He has zero issues with it. It might not work in every situation but this is a great product. EDIT: Merle really LOVES the Ready Cal Powder. He is a very picky eater and wont eat without it sprinkled over his Sheba Cuts. He is now 15 pounds and beautiful. Super healthy coat of fur & eyes are bright.

Picky kitty likes it - go slow
This has been really helpful. We mix it in with wet food. Started just a tiny bit at a time and add water mix it in. Once he got used to that we started adding more. Now he finds it palatable and he’s super picky. Every now and then if I add too much he’ll let me know haha, but it’s helped him put on weight. He looks chunky in the pic but it’s all fluff he weighs like 8lb. Vet said he needs to gain weight and can’t lose anymore.

Good for picky cat
I have a very picky cat, she’s always been skinny so I bought this to help her gain/maintain weight. She has really liked it on her food. She’s recently diagnosed with ckd and doesn’t like her prescription food very much. I’ve added it to her wet food and coated her kibble in it, sometimes she just licks it off and sometimes she eats part of the food (I’ll take it as a win) I think it does its job, she seems to like it. Already repurchased!

Doesn't work
My cat refuses to touch her food with this product mixed in or added to the top, which is counter productive to getting her to gain weight. Additionally, the seller does not offer a return or refund on the product.

Cat would not eat it
The amount of powder needed per serving is a big scoopful and it was too much to mix well into my cat's wet food. It also only provides 20 calories which honestly doesn't seem like enough to help my cat gain weight. My cat would not eat it at all so that $25 down the drain. They should have small samples to test before spending that much on something the cat may not eat.

It's ok
It's easy to sprinkle on the wet food. But my kitties don't like it. Mix it with a little water to make gravy and it seems better

Great for when your furbaby feels under the weather.
If you get a sick for a baby I don’t think there’s anything better! A scoop of this on their food and they will gobble it up. I was afraid because I have very picky eaters but it is helped me to keep many animals feeling better

A must for any aging or sick cat.
I have two 17-year old girls. I noticed they started loosing weight, their ribs and backbone became very prominent. The hair was matting, no matter how often I would brush them. It is not my first rodeo, so I started getting ready for inevitable. After three months of adding this stuff to their wet food, they both gained back almost all the weight, their long fur again is shiny and thick. They started grooming themselves again. Yesterday I found their old laser toy. The two were running around and jumping like kittens, scaling walls and ended up on top of my wall unit. Try it and I hope it does for your babies what its doing for mine.
