Summit Mosquito and Gnat Barrier Covers 10,000 Square Feet, 1/2 gallon

Excellent product to reduce gnat population! I live near Washington DC and our neighborhood has a huge gnat problem. We can’t walk through our yards without getting dozens of them swarming our heads. Using BTI dunks in traps, fountains, and gutters didn’t make a difference (although you still can get some benefit against mosquitoes 100%). I suspect they are growing eggs in the mulched areas. Either way as adults they exist by the dozens in our regular grass lawn area. Off! yard spray and spectracide yard spray does NOT work, despite the chemicals listing online as gnat killers. It may be the concentration. Anyways this summit product works well with permethrin. After spraying it’s a clear difference. From dozens to 3-4 only flying around as we walk through. It’s a clear and significant knockdown of the gnat population. How long it lasts really depends on the rain and how fast the survivors breed (this is why still use BTI in any breeding areas). Rain I can’t control, and neighboring yards I also cannot control. Regular rain I’d say it lasts about 2-3 weeks. Heavy flooding rain probably 1-2 weeks. I aim to apply every 2. HOWEVER if there’s a really bad infestation after a long period of heavy rain, you might need to spray 2x over a few days to really get the annoying buggers. This product will work very well if you are trying to spray for tonight’s or tomorrow’s dinner party. It does NOT work for 3-4 weeks on GNATS specifically. Mosquitoes are all but eliminated but the dang gnats are fast breeders in shaded mulch areas and will spawn new adults within a week, and there’s bound to be a rainy week you can’t apply or washes away an application and they will exponentially grow. You need to spray BTI in breeding areas (gnats don’t breed in standing water like mosquitoes but in shady areas of mulch and whatnot). I use a BTI concentrate from Amazon you can buy it by the gallon use it with a dilution hose sprayer just AI how much to add and what setting. A little goes a lonnnnng way.

First this is one of the only brands that the spray bottle actually works and I can reuse them. I had a serious sqweeter problem yesterday. Not tonight. There’s a relatively new breed of sqweeters called Asian tiger mosquitoes. They can be 3 times the size of a normal mosquito and aggressive. They just exploded. I went to let a dog out of the pen the other night and there had to be 30 of them on his head. I felt so bad. He was all lumped up. I sprayed today and have been out by the fire and not a single mosquito. Works very well.

This has worked well for my yard. After applying it, I noticed a significant reduction in mosquitoes and gnats, making it much more enjoyable to spend time outside. The bottle was easy to attach and use, and the coverage was good for my yard size. I recommend following the directions and reapplying as needed for the best results.

Works kills almost instantly but half the plants in my garden eg crotons, petunia, hibiscus mint all got burned crispy leaves blotches. Used as directed , hooked to the water hose. The hibiscus never flowered more than 3 flowers since after use despite having been a florific daily bloomer.

1st yard spray that I ever use that actually worked. I had a party outdoors, the next day. I asked if anyone had any bites, and the answer was no. So happy with this product.

It DID NOT WORK for me! I sprayed it all over front, back and side yards, entryways, windows, plants, etc. and went inside. The next day the mosquitoes were just as bad as before! The gnats were, too! I have tried it 4 times now and the mosquitoes are still there! It doesn't even work for a day! As soon as I step outside the mosquitoes are after me, so I can't do ANYTHING outside without them on me! They are even getting in the house EVERY DAY! I can't escape them and I was really hoping that this stuff would work, but it didn't. I tried several times to contact Summit to get help, but never got a response, so I am now returning the bottle. Don't waste your money! Also, I originally ordered the concentrate formula, but they tried to ship it twice and it was somehow damaged in shipment both times! Now, they won't try to send it again.

This is an excellent product for eliminating mosquitoes and gnats in your yard. While it can be used indoors, I recommend it primarily for outdoor areas because it has a rather strong odor; it mixes with water and attaches to your garden hose, making application across the entire yard incredibly easy.

I hardly ever write reviews since nothing works as it should. I sprayed this on a hot summer day at 7am with no rain in sight for at least 12 hours, it took the gnat and bug population to almost 98% down. Of course there is other yards and wind factors but with in 24 hours I had almost absolute relief from gnats. I will be buying this again when it wears off. (I don't have veggies or edible plants, I have flowers and a less than 10k foot yard, I went over it several times till it was empty. I must say I got my money's worth (tried the "blue bottle brand" competitor with absolutely no help or relief.... Thankyou for working!!
