16cm Ceramic Non Stick Milk Pan with Pouring Lip, PFAS Free

I was searching for a 14" saucepan on here but good quality ones in that size seem hard to come by, and I came upon this one by Blackmoor (and I already have a couple of their saucepans) in the 16" size but I could tell that, due to the sloping shape of it, it would stack easily into my existing saucepans even though it was larger than the 14" size I'd initially wanted. Also, I got this saucepan in a Warehouse deal so mine was about £2 cheaper than the full price - win! As with my other Blackmoor saucepans, this is excellent quality. It's sturdy, substantial but not overly clunky or heavy, it has the soft touch handle I love, the granite kind of surface that I find is fantastically functional and heats up quickly, it's non-stick, and so easy to clean. Also, unlike some 'milk' type pans the pouring spout is very functional and I can pour without the liquid going all over the place! This is a very useful, very functional pan that can be used for much more than just heating milk, say. I can make oatmeal in mine, cook other things up to about 3-4 portions, etc. It's very versatile and so easy to use and take care of. I highly recommend!

wish i bought this years ago. it was chore to clean scrambled eggs on my old pot.. no more... just rinse it in soapy water and its clean in seconds

The pan is forged aluminium with a non stick finish made to look like marble coating. There is a pouring lip on one side but the design is not great and milk tends to slop down the side of the pan (do manufacturers test the function or just the appearance?) I use it mostly for scrambled egg and the results are quick and easy on low to moderate heat, providing you remove the pan from the heat to complete the cooking with the residual heat of the pan. The scrambled egg comes cleanly away from the pan with minimal effort and if you allow it to cool and wash it before any residue dries, cleaning is easy. Bringing milk to the boil always caramelises the lactose sugars on the surface of a milk pan (less so if you mix up to 50/50 with water.) A brief soak to stop the residue drying before washing up and cleaning the pan is easy. The pan is relatively wide and shallow so heating milk for two cups of latte leaves very little room for boiling milk to rise; hence the pan has to be removed from the heat just before boiling point.

This is a great nonstick pan, used daily for porridge and very easy to clean, although mostly placed in the dishwasher.

My husband spent a week complaining that this pan was impossible to pour from. Naturally, I didn’t believe a word of it and assumed it was user error until he made me try it myself. I owe the poor man an apology! It warms milk beautifully, but the moment you try to aim for a mug, the laws of physics simply abandon ship. Half of the milk neatly defies gravity and bathes the worktop. A lovely little pan in theory, but unless you fancy wiping down your counters after every milk pouring session, I’d give this one a miss.

Acquistato per l'utilizzo su piano ad induzione. Funziona perfettamente, viene riconosciuto senza esitazioni. Si pulisce davvero con estrema facilità, cosa essenziale per me che lo utilizzo per preparare il porridge che a volte diventa un vero incubo da ripulire. Soddisfatto.

Upplevs snygg och mycket hållbar. Det enda man kan invända är väl att hällpipen intuitivt upplevs placerad på fel sida för en högerhänt person.
