So far it’s beyond what I expected, having the ability to water my plants on a schedule is amazing . Im using a live bait cooler style water container I’ll post in pics , when I know it’s gonna rain I open the top and let it collect water . The solar aspect of this particular unit is actually helpful so I don’t need to charge it . I only have 2 plants hooked up to it for now , but I can see how that pressure would diminish the more I add ( possibly ) . At the price point this unit is you can’t go wrong . Set up was easy connecting the hub was also as easy . The appearance when it’s in use is nice I’ve had people look at me and say “really , you’re so extra “. I say no , lol . Definitely recommend buying this if your a newbie like me and love technology as I do , it also can be hooked up with Alexa or google home ., nice option. The functionality of this device with the water container I’m using makes it almost seamless to ensure my plants health with watering on a consistent basis . Good luck and God Bless …

Works great. Saved my plants when on vacation

Plastic irrigators are a bit flimsy but they are plastic so you need to take care. Overall else great and convenient product though. I bought the extension pack and was able to handle around 20 or so plants. App sometimes does it's own thing though.

Never able to get it to work. Tried to work with the company to get a replacement or return. Was unable to get customer service to help. I've owned several of the Rainpoint products and have been satisfied in the past. However, in this instance, it just wouldn't work.

This device is great! It has a long lasting battery, supplemented by solar recharging. It ran perfectly to schedule and kept everything alive during a multi-day vacation. I needed to set it up in a hurry to water plants on the back porch — thank you Amazon same-day delivery. It's easy to made a mess of the irrigation lines, especially if one is trying to rush through the setup, but I can hopefully take a better shot at it next season, using a new accessory kit and zip ties. My advice is take at least 2-3 days to learn the system and to calibrate the watering needs, before relying on it to water plants unsupervised. Irrigation is based on running time - not water volume - so one really needs to see what 1 minute of irrigation actually amounts to in order to program a good automated schedule. I guessed the irrigation times - but probably should have had it run 50% longer. The app has a lot of great functionality, but isn't necessarily targeted at the simpler-oriented folks. The whole system was easy for me to set up and connect to wifi, but I am skeptical my parents or grandparents would be able to figure this system out without my help — find the computer person in your family! Since the device doesn't measure water volume, I'm now looking for a some way to measure the water remaining in my 5-gallon reservoir (a discarded dill pickle pail from a sandwich shop, which is made using food-grade plastic).

I love this thing. Last summer I had to water my potted tropical plants every dang day, it was so hot. Now I’m just filling the water bucket once a week and my plants are thriving. It was fairly easy to set up. With a soil sensor, I just set the conditions and the Smart plan takes care of the rest.

Well right off I see that to charge the battery without solar you have to take the battery out of the module. This will prevent using the system indoors or in a shaded area without taking the battery out periodically to charge it. So there is no charge port on the solar watering device without removing the battery to plug it in and charge it. The instructions are just OK to get everything connected and working, they may be in English but probably written by someone who's English is a second language. Overall the unit seems to be fairly quality and the watering schedule and period should be adequate for any watering choice which is what I was worried about after ordering other units with set schedules and watering times that didn't fit my need. Would be nice if it also measured soil moisture but it doesn't. Also would be nice if usb charging ports were included without removing the battery and if there was a battery charge indication on the app.the only battery indication on the app is when the battery is charging from solar. Apparently if the battery is charged and the sun is on the solar panel there is no solar charge indication, only if the battery isn't charged and solar is charging it. Also there is a power insufficient indication but not a battery charge indication.

Good watering system! Works very well for people who usually travel a lot.

This is my second unit, I have had the first one for a year now and I am impressed. My balcony faces north so I do not get direct sun at all and the unit has lasted almost a year on the first charge and the little sunlight it gets. It works every day no problems. I am actually able to go away for a week in the heat of summer without losing any plants. It works great!

A good product well built but battery is not replaceable. ☹️

I am all excited. Very happy. Went to turn it on all the sudden worked next day. Come back out and hit the test button for 30 seconds. It runs for 20 seconds, goes red and then flashes and stops. Now I'm leaving for 5 days and well I don't think I'm going to be able to water my stuff while I'm gone. ERG g. I guess we'll figure it out when I get back
