ThermoPro TP49 Indoor Digital Humidity Meter Room Thermometer with Temperature and Humidity Monitor, Mini Hygrometer, Thermometer

We have Ecobee thermostats that control two of our heat pumps and a Honeywell that controls a third. I noticed that the one in our main bedroom was showing high humidity and temperature which seemed at odds with the rest of the house. I bought these thermometer/ humidity units to test against the Ecobee. Both units read at times one or two points different on the humidity, for example 42% and 43% and the temperature is either the same or 0.1 different. I compared them with two instant read kitchen thermometers and they registered the same temperature. Obviously, positioning will influence the readings for comparison purposes.I know this is not truly scientific just positioning the units alongside or on too of thermostats but good enough to show the Ecobee temperature reading was consistently five degrees higher and the humidity 18 points higher. Measured next to the Honeywell thermostat the humidity was the same. On the dehumidifier bought as a result of the Ecobee readings it was just a percentage point or two different. Good enough for me. I could have tested the humidity measurement more scientifically but I just wanted a rough and ready guide for which these units seem perfect. Worked well enough to get A over to send a replacement thermostat which reads more accurately.The units are compact with a little fold-out stand and a magnet that is strong enough as I tested them on a wall light and they held up perfectly. Readability is fine although there is no backlighting option. A little happy face emoji appears when humidity is good. Can't comment on battery life but I'd imagine it will be fine and worst case would involve changing out the no-name batteries supplied. I definitely recommend this item.
