Earthborn Elements Washing Soda (1 Gallon), Soda Ash, Sodium Carbonate, Non-Toxic Laundry Booster

I bought this for making homemade dry laundry soap, I have been making my own for close to 10 years. I became tired of feeling like my clothes were never truly clean, especially our gym clothes and even more tired of all the over powering scents. I know the chemicals used to create these smells are not healthy and covering my entire body in clothes covered in them seemed like a bad choice. Washing soda is the one ingredient that's tough for me to find in the stores. I used Arm & Hammer washing soda for years but since our move to Western Washington I have been unable to find it at local grocery stores. I have been using this for a couple months now and my clothes are just as clean as before making the switch to this brand. It comes in a one gallon bucket that's a bit of a pain to open the first time but a wonderful alternative to the cardboard boxes this generally comes in when buying a&h. I am excited to be able to reuse it to store my finished soap in once empty as the container I currently use isn't as nice. They also make a borax that once I run out of my current supply I intend to try. Also for the amount, one gallon, the price is a great value, I have no complaints and would recommend this to anyone. For anyone curious here is the ingredients for homemade laundry soap: 1 Dr. Bonners bar of soap (shredded) 1-2 cups of borax 1-2 cups of washing soda 1/2-1 cup of baking soda I started off at the small end of ingredients and added more until I found a ratio that works for me. I use distilled white vinegar as a fabric softer. I use 1/4 of a cup of soap for a regular sized load and about 1 cup of vinegar. My clothes are soft, smell fresh, and never like vinegar. I will never go back to conventional laundry detergents, for me this is the best way to keep my clothes clean.

Great quality! I use this washing soda to make my powdered laundry soap. It is great for what I need it for. It also came sealed very tight so there was no leaking. Just an overall great product. No weird smell and cleans my clothes very well! A little powder goes a long way.

Its pricy. But it washed my clothes well. And for sensitive skin its a win. The lid is tough to open though.

We live in a remote area and cannot run to the store for things on a whim. We decided to make our own laundry detergent and were not disappointed. This is a super value for the cost and what you get out of it as far as your recipes go. It works as good as the name brands, no complaints, were sold on this brand and will be buying more Excellent packaging. This was a sneaker surprise great purchase because we didnt know what to expect,

I love this bucket. I bought a scoop to keep inside and i use a half scoop, i think it would be 1/4 cup. I pour it into the bottom of my top loading he washer without the agitator. Then I use my laundry soap in the dispenser part. We use non toxic laundry soap, I switch between young living and ecos unscented. This powder gives it that extra boost to get our clothes super clean. Our washer is an xl size so I wash really big loads for 5 people and this bucket lasts us months.

I have been looking for a large size natural washing soda for some time and was happy to discover this large bucket. It was delivered on time and the bucket is nice and sturdy and seals well. Highly recommend.

I've been using this as a base for my homemade laundry soap. It's amazing, makes my whites, whiter with every wash. Love it.

I make my own homemade laundry detergent and it works great. It's a little pricey though and unfortunately it isn't often available to purchase.
