As a mom and grandmother to many who is concerned about our family's health and well being (and also an artist!), the quality and toxicity of products we use is very important to me. For many years I have purchased these very crayons, in various forms, for my children and grandchildren. We simply love to make art, and use quality tools to do so. The quality of these crayons are second to none! The depth of color, the pigmentation, of these crayons is simply beautiful! Pictures drawn with these are vibrant, beautiful, and do not ever fade. Also, the availability of both stick and block forms make it easy for hands of every size and ability to enjoy creating beautiful art, right out of the convenient tin! And should a toddler or baby decide they wanted a taste of these lovely sticks, there is no need to worry about upset tummies or discolored lips. With a beeswax base and naturally-derived pigments, there is never a concern for such. So if you're looking for crayons for your little ones that you can feel good about, these are definitely it! Not the cheap versions you pick up at Walmart, but certainly worth every penny!

These crayons are beautiful and high quality. I enjoyed coloring with them with my children.

My family loves these, and so do I. I love these last and last, no breakage and love that it's low flake. The colors are beautiful, smells lovely, blend well with each other, and you get true primaries. As an artist myself, I find myself using these as much as my daughter, I may just need to get my own set, but I'll go for the big one!

I almost bought a cheaper brand, as this was my first time buying beeswax crayons. Since this seems to be the most recommended brand, I went ahead and purchased two of these sets for my sons, and I am so glad that I did. They come in a nice tin that has a hinge closure. The crayons are a perfect size for my 5 & 8 year old's hands. They smell nice, they are well made, they are pleasing to little fingers. Their larger size gives my sons a better grip, and they no longer reach for the crayolas, unless they are needing a certain color that we don't have in the beeswax crayons. I do plan to buy the larger size with more colors. This set did not come with a brown, and we do seem to want that color often. Overall, this was a great purchase and I am hooked on Stockmar.

These are very durable. My 1 year old got to these and tossed them around the room and chewed one, but we were able to salvage all of them because they are very very hard to break, unlike any other crayon we've ever used. The chewed one we just whittled down a bit and my older son still uses it. We've had these 8 months and all are in one piece and only 3/4 used. Only issue I have had is that when they are cold (like when it is cold in the house) it is very hard to get them to transfer color. It's like they develop a hard outer layer. I take them and run them firmly over some paper before my son uses them. A bit high maintenance for crayons. But color and durability are top notch. Update - a year and a half later, and my boys still color with these daily......the exact same crayons. Incredibly durable and long lasting! The paper does come off easily and then the color transfers to fingers, but it doesn't then transfer from fingers to clothes or the leather couch or anything, so it doesn't bug me. I'm really impressed with how long they have lasted. And the hard outer layer I described is totally gone now - so a very good crayon. Would buy again.

These are the best crayons. We were introduced to beeswax crayons at our children's Waldorf school and although they are expensive they are worth the extra cost. I don't even think it's worth it to go back to Crayola. We have tried this brand and another: International Arrivals Natural Beeswax Crayons, Set of 24 (133-50) and these ones are so much better. The color is more rich and they go on more smoothly. The tin is nice too because they are easy to travel with. I keep a box in the car all the time. These crayons are also really durable, I haven't had one break. I totally recommend them.

Bought this item. Just received it in the mail and upon opening saw that two of the crayons were broken! Returning it very disappointed. I was so excited for my toddler to use it as it was highly recommended.

Recently upgraded from traditional crayons & I'm thrilled. They're expensive & limited in colors, but for my toddler & preschooler who lost interest in crayons because they were too light, it's a great swap out. We also got the beeswax crayon blocks & my kids enjoy switching between the two. The color shows up so vibrantly & doesn't take much pressure. As a former art student, I appreciate the ability to create subtle shading.
