Perfect for more rural locations
I live in a more rural area and seems like most weather reports serve the larger cities not near me. Seems like my rain forecasts are always wrong, even if right for those locations 100 miles away. Since im retired and my computer skills are limited, I just wanted something to use and not required programming or extensive setup. I found this VEVOR was perfect and cost under $100. Installation was simple and dual base can be mounted flat like my temporary deck railing mounting, or top of pole mounting which is my next weekend project. As soon as you plug in the indoor display, it "wakes up" and searches for the nearby outdoor metering station, makes wireless connection, then starts reporting weather data. When this startup process completed all you need to do is select each display item on the screen and answer very basic questions. For example, when you select temperature you just select degree F or C. Wind speed in Km/hr or miles/hour, and so on. Easy! I was very surprised you do not need to empty out the rain gage as earlier weather stations, since their is no container to empty. The system has two "spoons" under the funnel that just teter-todders back and force as each spoon fills then tilts to empty. The system just counts the number of times per hour, day, week the spoons rock back and forth. Only issue is had was each display item was a different screen color and some colors are hard to read unless away from brighter rooms or windows. There are far more features than I can review here, and you will discover these as you start using the system.

It's great if you plug in the inside unit-
If you want to see it without touching it from a distance as I do, you need to plug it in and you can set the back light how you want. It's bright and easy to see. If you put them side by side, the outside and the inside unit sometimes they read the same temp and others 1ยบ-2ยบ difference with the inside being warmer and the inside one doesn't jive with other units I have inside. The outside temp appears accurate so far. I wish I could adjust it so the inside temp is accurate oor if the outside wasn't, if I could adjust it, that would be nice. It can be used to predict weather and a host of other things I'm don't care about. I want to know the outside temp, windspeed, and humidity primarily and the direction if that part ends up working correctly. It hasn't on 2 other brand name ones and my mechanical wind vane spins and doesn't help. I'm not counting on it as where they get mounted, the wind gusts and can become circular. I do have one suggestion, they should include a cap to cover the rain gauge for those of us who get wild weather. Our weather will simply destroy it with freezing rain, imo. I plugged it the hole with silicone but it only goes on with the dish down. I'll have to block it off with some kind of cap so it doesn't get frozen and break. It appears well made, but it's not made to take our wild weather and I'm not spending gobs just to have that. I can see how much it rains in a container. The rest of the unit I absolutely love. There's TINY screws that hold the wind and direction vane you have to tighten during assembly. You'll likely drop them as I did. No worries, they gave me 6 extra even though I found them. This is not a unit to be assembled by those who lack dexterity. They provided a nice little screwdriver with a rubber type handle that worked just dandy on the tiny screws. For the larger screws for the post mounting, I used my own tool. Now- it has a built in level bubble- cool feature, imo. I also used MS 5 locknuts for the bracket mount instead of the included ones for the post to bracket connection because of the wind vibration it will endure. Included mounting screws were too short, BUT my 2" 1/4 drive roofing screws with steel & rubber washers worked perfectly. It is built solid. I checked the windspeed inside with a mini-air gun used to clean keyboards & etc and it worked fine. Note tho- it doesn't send the info instantly, it delays it a little which I tested by increasing the air and decreasing it....it went to 66 mph spinning it like crazy. The Atomic clock sets when you follow the included instructions. It's fancier than I need. The solar should have a battery for it instead of relying on only 3 AA batteries as a backup. If there's one in it, I couldn't tell. You do have to set it to your time zone. CAUTION- access to install the 3 AA batteries is TIGHT. the little lock slide MUST be moved all the way. Then I had to use a pocketknife to carefully pop the cover loose without breaking it. It's better built than the 2 LaCrosse ones I have set in different locations. I REALLY hope this one lasts because I really like it and how well it's built. I'm hoping to get 5 years out of it before the solar panel pukes.

Look at something else
Pic shows light and uvi sensors at zero and it 1:31pm .Work great until the first bad storm then the light and uvi sensors went crazy ( 6-26 ) I figured I could live with that then the rain and wind speed sensors also started going crazy too. Bad thing is I have a 2 year protection plan but I have to go through the manufacturer warranty first and feel that they might be dragging their feet. How confusing. Good luck to anyone that gets one of these.

Junk ... save your money
save your money ... this worked ok for a while and then it started to have brain issues ... the outside temp is always 70.4 even when it is 90 outside... the rain gauge stopped working and never shows any rain at all ... wind is never even close to correct .... and then the part that pushed me to do this review is the darn thing starts setting off a loud audible alarm in the middle of the night... never the same time, but always in the middle of the night, and never for any known reason. Bottom line this is a piece of crap .... I will be removing it from our roof and putting it on a fence post out in the pasture and using it for target practice... that's all it's good for.

Vevor 7in 1 wireless weather station
This was very easy to set up, everything works as it should. I like the rain gauge, my previous one did not work. Also the price was great

Decent value in its market.
Pretty easy to set up. You really do need to find a suitable location though. Donโt just hang it off the wall or fence because youโll get badly compromised readings. This is my second unit. Left the first one at my old house. You can download an app to see your data remotely. But VEVOR seems to have done away with the ability to connect to Weather Underground. I miss it, but can live without it. My home weather data is what I really want.

Good value Weather unit
Easy to assemble. Functional weather station. Instructions help in screen menu setup, time set, etc. time will tell as far as battery life. Would be helpful to have a remote battery corded accessory (like a Acurite unit) for high up mounting of the weather unit. Overall a nice unit

The solar panel does not charge the batteries. You will be replacing batteries more than you think.
I have had two of these identical units and both failed, one after about a year and the other only lasted 3-4 months. They disconnect from the base station and will not reconnect, even after installing new batteries in the sensor and the base station, they would not pair again. I followed the instructions in the manual but nothing worked. The big problem with his station is that the solar panel does not charge the batteries, it only runs the station during the day to save the batteries. This means the batteries will die rather quickly and you will be taking it down to replace them. If you mounted it high, that will be a pain. I ordered another Vevor weather station (the one that actually charges a battery pack via the solar panel), if it fails, I'm done with Vevor weather station.

Great weather station
I had a Bresser one before this and it was rubbish. This one is much better; better built, easier ser up and a nice bright display. Be warned that the display must be plugged in. The battery is just a back up.

Works very well
Just installed this yesterday was a breeze went together quite easily and started working right away. If thereโs any longevity to this product, I am impressed. Took two weeks in transit before I received, and the tracking information was virtually worthless.

Very bang on
This weather station took a bit to learn. I had to Google some of the set up of what was what. But once I got it set up im happy I have it. This year in central Alberta we were very wet with over 25 inches of rain in middle if July rain. Hope to see nothing more added to that. As haying has to get done now. Haha But love the humidity part and barometric part!

Good value Weather Station
After comparing several weather stations, I decided to try the Vevor as it appeared to be good value for money. The inside display is very clear and appears to give accurate readings when compared with other data. It connected to the outside sensor unit within seconds and the atomic clock within 5 minutes. The outside sensor unit is solid construction and was quick to assemble following the easy, quick setup guide. The only concern I do have is the ball and socket system to attach the unit to the pole, whist a good idea to enable leveling the unit, the instructions say that tightening the 4 screws would hold it together, however when I did this the sensor unit was still loose and moving around. I overcome this by placing sticky velco strips in the joint which does hold it tight, only time will tell if it is a long term solution. Overall I am pleased with my purchase, but have marked it down because of the loose fitting. Update 10/11/25 - unfortunately the rain measurement has stopped recording, so am returning unit. It is pity as the rest of the measurements/readings appear to be accurate.
