This STEM robot kit is fantastic! The instructions were clear, and it was fun to build step by step. My kid stayed engaged the whole time and was so proud once the robot was finished. It’s sturdy, works just like it should, and really encourages problem-solving and creativity. It comes in giftable packaging. The car itself comes with a rechargeable battery, but the remote requires AAA batteries. I love the fact that that the car has tow motors, each side of the car is controlled individually. You can turn the car right or left. Really an awesome toy! My 4 and 8 year old kids had a lot of fun putting it together. It was a great afternoon project for them. It took they maybe an hour and half but they played with it for quite a while after building it. Instructions were easy enough for my 8 year old to understand and they built it without any supervision. The remote worked well to control the vehicle and everything was moderately easy to assemble.

Really cool toy and fun, but the original intent of my 9 year old putting it together by himself fell short. Instructions are not as clear / easy as typical legos, but with some adult supervision we got through it.

Fun project! My 9 year old is a Lego whiz, but needed a bit of help with the directions for this, but it was fun to do together. His sister accidentally stepped on the finished project and broke a piece. I contacted customer service to see if I could purchase just that one piece and they just mailed it to me, no charge. Excellent customer service. Will be buying more of their products.

Bought this for my son's 8th birthday. He absolutely loved it. Sadly it did not last long, one of the motors had an issue. Biranco customer service was outstanding; they sent me an entirely new unit within a few days of my initial complaint. A different issue occurred with the 2nd unit, and then they refunded my original purchase. All this sounds negative, but I would bet I just got a couple lame ducks. The reviews are great for good reason, it really is an awesome toy and very fun to assemble. The instructions were good, nearly as good as LEGO itself. I would suggest purchasing this because if your experience is like mine to get a defective product, the really stand behind their word and gave my refund even well after the warranty/refund period was over.

A few thoughts after having built the green model in the "car" and "square wheeled" format. 1) It says this is for ages 8+, but I'm a 41 man and can tell you the instructions are sometimes quite hard to follow. I found it pretty frustrating, and I definitely wouldn't recommend it for an 8 year old... 2) It comes with two motors to power each side of whatever vehicle is created. One of the motors spins at a slightly different rate than the other, which causes the vehicle to veer in one direction when driving forward. Also, we noticed a burning plastic smell at times when in "car" form. Not in the square wheel form yet. 3) You can kind of tell in the promo video, but it isn't very fast. 4) The treads are plastic, which means they don't have any meaningful traction. Don't expect it to actually climb over anything easily (you'll notice on in the video it mainly drives over small pieces). 5) The "car" model comes apart as you drive it (hard to describe, but essentially the body splays open towards the front). At first I thought this was why it veered to the side, but pushing it back together doesn't correct the problem. It also doesn't stay together very long. I built the car for my 5 year old. It took at least an hour, and maybe more. But upon assembly he played with it for about 10min before he was ready for me to build the square wheel vehicle (which, mercifully, was much easier). I think he's enjoying that one more. Given the above, I'd rate this 2.5 stars, but I'll be generous and give it 3.

We ordered this kit for our 9 year Olds birthday. He was so excited and built it so fast. He just could not wait for play with it. The battery charged but only last about 30 seconds of drive time. We contacted the seller they got back to us quickly and they gave us some troubleshooting advice. We tried and still had the same issue informed the seller and they sent out a new set and this battery works great!
