Do I need to buy two for lemons to grow (for pollination)?

No, it only takes one. They do not need a partner. They do take an entire season (I’m in Ohio) for the lemons to turn yellow. Be patient! They look like limes for MONTHS!!

What Temperatures Can It Handle?

Indoors or greenhouse below 65 F or 17 C. Outdoors above that. Bring in a month before heating goes on in your house to give it a chance to acclimate. Put it in the brightest coolest window over winter. If you don’t get winter I assume it can live outdoors all year around.

Will this tree grow in Alabama?? I just love making fresh lemonade!

I am in Ohio - we have seasons (cold ones!!) I move my lemon trees inside starting just before the first freeze. This tree is tabletop. It does produce lemons HOWEVER the tree is small and in Ohio only produces lemons once a year - it’s more of a conversation tree - don’t get too excited that you will be making lemonade for months during the summer. These adorable trees are a one and done — but to have a lemon tree in Ohio - bring it on!!

Can this tree grow in rocky clay soil?

Unfortunately, Lemon trees planted in heavy clay suffer problematic and declined growth. You can, however, keep this planted in a container with an all purpose potting soil with good drainage.
