OEM grill Rake that works perfectly

It does not match up with the TEC grate on my grill rendering it useless to clean the grooves.

First, let me say that TEC Grills are the best of the best. The employees there are dedicated and customer service oriented, and I absolutely love their high quality grills and accessories. I bought this grate cleaning rake, which as advertised, would clean the grill grates without touching the infrared glass plate the grates sit on. Unfortunately the grate cleaning "teeth" are a bit too long and contact the glass plate and don't effectively clean the top of the grate. This tool is not changing my opinion of TEC whatsoever, and TEC still remains the best grill company around.

Good quality and cleans the grate fast!

I bought my G2000 because it had a Lifetime Parts replacement warranty, and for years didn't have any issues. About 5 years ago TEC changed their Warranty on their new Grills to 10 yrs because they were losing money on parts. But they still honored the Lifetime on the previous grills. Last year the stopped honoring their Warranties. Stating that it was a mistake by someone who used to work their, but I have my Original Manual that Clearly states All Parts Replacement for Life. There are no restrictions in the manual stating Manufacturing Defects. Not TEC is stating that they only cover Manufacturing detects for Life. I asked multiple times before I bout my grill if the Glass Plates were covered and I was told Multiple times that everything is covered for Life. This is down Right FRAUD.

Dissatisfied. The Grate cleaning teeth did not line up with our channels. So disappointed.

To be honest I was very skeptical due to some of the other reviews and the high price point. Therefore, when I opened it, I took very good care of the box in anticipation of returning it. I have to say though I'm pleasantly surprised at how well it works and how well it fits down into the grates. I just cleaned this grill this morning before package arrived yet there was still lots of dried food on the sides of the grates so I tried this out as soon as I got it. It fit perfectly down into the grates and scraped all that residue off the sides and then I was easily able to scoop up the ash left on the glass plate. Very happy with this purchase and will be keeping it.
