Canon EF-S 10-18mm f/4.5-5.6 IS STM Lens (Renewed)

I have a canon EOS 3000D and needed a wide-angle lens to take real estate photos for my small photography business. This ended up being the best lens I could have gotten for my camera and my business. It can beautifully capture corner to corner in a very large room. The lens is equipped with an auto focus that works extremely well. When I need to edit the photos after the photoshoot, there is no imperfections in the photo. It is simply: perfect. If you are hesitant to buy something that has been refurbished, don't. It acts as if it were just pulled off the assembly line. If it wasn't for this lens, I would not be where I am in my photographer business today.

The same as my review fir the refurbished 50 mm lens. Looks, feels, smells and functions like a new lens for a nice discount and CV includes a 1 year guarantee from Canon USA. I use this lens a lot as a walking around lens and for landscapes. As a super wide angle it can create some interesting effects, especially at the 10mm setting. Easily corrected in Darktable with a few mouse clicks if desired. Auto focus is quick and quiet. Image quality is excellent. My Canon D600 recognizes it and automatically applies vignette correction. Darktabke correctly identifies it and applies all other desired corrections. Very happy with purchase.

Based on the reviews, I’ve read, I expected the shipping to be in a box with no padding or cushioning, however, it would appear the company listens to the reviews that people leave and make improvements based on them! Kudos! Lens works perfectly! I’d imagine people who received a product that was less than their expectations had a rougher refurbishment. The lens I received had very minimal notations that would make it obvious it was refurbished. The lens attachment piece that prevents light bleed has minimal plastic degradation, but it is purely cosmetic and functions perfectly nonetheless. I plan to use this lens as an entry into real estate photography. I had some friends reach out asking if I’d be interested in taking these photos so I invested in this affordable lens to give me the range I needed to capture their home at an affordable price. This lens brings my total lens inventory to five. 10 to 18. 50 prime. 18 to 55 kit. 24 to 105. And Lastly, 70 to 300. All the lenses I own are very affordable and this piece completed my capability on a budget.

I've been using slr (then dslr) camera's since the early 1990's (Canon brand, rebel series). I mostly use telephoto lenses and macro lenses but have a few occasions could've used a wide angle lens. And after shopping around, this one was the right price and quality (I have purchased some non-Canon brands lenses that have some issues that Canon usually doesn't). I've used it once to test it out, and the quality is typical for Canon - pretty darn good! The images and auto focus work well and there's no excessive noise. I can see this being another good addition to my photographic needs.

I am so happy with this buy. I am building a photography business and needed this wide lens. I will tell you it does the job! I bought it refurbished and honestly it looked brand new which was worth the price discount. I cannot wait to use it my next shoot.
