For me, the scent is okay, but what I really like is how refreshing it feels after washing — it leaves my oily hair feeling clean and light. For my wife, this is the only shampoo that doesn’t cause rashes on her scalp. Ever since The Body Shop stores in the U.S. closed, the price has gone up a lot, so now only my wife uses it. Still, it’s an excellent shampoo that’s worth it for those who need something gentle and effective.

The scent is strong—very gingery and herbal—but personally, I like it. It smells clean and refreshing without being too overpowering once your hair dries. It lathers well too, even though it’s sulfate-free, which I wasn’t expecting. A couple tips if you’re thinking of trying it: Let it sit on your scalp for a minute or two before rinsing. I find that helps the active ingredients actually do their thing. Follow up with a light conditioner just on the ends, not the scalp, to avoid build-up (especially if your hair is prone to dryness). Be consistent—use it 2–3 times a week if you have moderate flakes or itch. I tried alternating it with a moisturizing shampoo to keep things balanced. I knocked off one star because it can be a little drying if used too often and the bottle’s a bit small for the price, but otherwise this is a solid option if you're struggling with flakes or irritation. I have been using this shampoo for about 12 years. My dry scalp and hair doesn’t feel as great when I use another shampoo. The scent is wonderful, the price is slightly higher than I would like but it’s worth it.

The best shampoo I've ever bought and I'm not exaggerating. Having suffered seborrheic dermatitis on my scalp for most of my adult life I've tried all the expensive medicated shampoos and treatments I could find. Most of them didn't work, or left my hair in a terrible state. This shampoo, made from natural ingredients, keeps my scalp healthy, my hair soft and smelling lovely. It may seem expensive but you only need a small amount and it lasts me for ages so I'd actually great value. Only shampoo I ever buy now.

This stuff is expensive but works well. Leaves my hair nice and clean, I don't think it does too much for my scalp though. Nice, light smell. I would repurchase.
