Good but could be excellent
Well made with pretty good sound. Can't hold a charge for long so if not using all the time needs to be recharged or powered via cable. My six year old Nokia started up after two years left in a drawer, this can't last six days.

Exceeds my audiophile expectations.
I work 7 months a year away from home on a ship. I get bored of headphones/earphones all the time and wanted a portable speaker for use from time to time. Seeing as my portable audio setup is about £3000 worth of kit (AK120/RSA SR71a/Ultrasone Edition 8s or Frogbeat CIEMs with custom plus sound cables) I was sceptical that any speaker would get anywhere near the place I would like it to be at. Well, the size and weight sure do make it portable. Just the right balance to enable enough output/battery life without it being in any way an encumbrance. I probably use it at about 30% power with my AK120 and the supplied 3.5mm jack. It does a great job for what it is. No, it's not a full range 10-35,000 hz floorstander. No it doesn't do full stereo imaging. No, it won't shake the room. But, it is in a different league to anything else even near the size. There is some degree of soundstage, there is some kind of decent bass. The midrange does not overpower the music. The treble is not too sweet and thin and tinny. There is no discernible THD and the SN ratio is very good at all volumes I have tried. If you want to fill a hotel room/cabin/office with decent sound quality then this is the best thing I have found on the market.

A solid quality piece of kit
I use this quite regularly where space, whether carrying or sound-projection, is an issue and it performs without a problem. Everyone who observes it in action is impressed. I think the downside for some people would be the cost.

Outstanding
I was unsure whether these speakers would be worth it, or whether I should just bring my macbook pro with me on travels and make do with their speakers. I'm very glad to say that the sound from this thing is astonishing, and totally worth it. The sound range, volume and clarity is outstanding, in a tiny, extremely handy, and very robust-feeling package. Full marks.

Pretty damn good.
My search for acceptable portable speakers is over! I suppose I would be regarded by many as an audiophile with home hifi costing more than some new cars. When I go away I usually stay in villas/gites/cottages etc and like to take my own speakers rather than rely upon their (usually) crap stereo system. I have been using the phenomenal M.Audio computer speakers for travelling but this little Foxl makes that unnecessary. The sound quality, for its size, is quite amazing. If you stood this between two ordinary book-shelf speakers, it would fool most people into thinking it was the book-shelf speakers playing. The bass is the bit which surprises the most, simply because it seems impossible for so much, fairly good, bass to come from such a tiny source. No, it is not hifi but it is close enough that I can now travel light and not be constantly annoyed by the poor sound quality. I know it seems expensive but it does sound better than a lot of systems, at that price, so it is worth it. It is good enough that it will reveal the difference between playing music from an iPhone or from a good portable player. Most diddy speakers certainly can't do that. Battery life is not quite as good as advertised but that will obviously depend upon the volume you are playing it. Go on - treat yourself.
