Q: Has anyone figured out how to access the bonus digital mini map we're were supposed to get for preordering?

It was only for a few days. I never got it even though I preordered. If they didn't email it to you, you don't get it.

Q: What content is on the gold edition disc (i.e., that you don’t have to download) besides the expansion pass, which (not yet out) obviously isn’t?

The game. The gold edition just includes the expansion pass, and a few, I'll call them "digital goodies". If you don't plan on downloading anything for this game, ever, I would recommend getting the standard edition. If you plan to update the game at all, be prepared for quite a large update.
