The temperature probe never worked. I waited too long to return it, and now I am stuck with it.

Not working
Temp taking (commercial use) is very inconsistent. Sometimes it works but more often it doesn't. Of course the problems began within days of the expiration of the warranty.

Good product, but it came with the directions on a cd.....and that might as well be a 8-track, as my computer no longer has a cd drive. I was able to find instructions on line. Great product, but even the on line directions were not the best, in my opinion.

Fluke design for a lot less
Comark by Fluke. Costs half of the Fluke FP PLus. Designed for food inspections. Works fine for cooking.Non-contact thermometer is great for tempering chocolate.Fold out probe is replaceable if it happens to break. I got a spare probe for the Fluke model to keep on hand.Washable.Probe takes a bit longer than others (7-8 seconds) but the platinum temperature sensor is more accurate (+/- 0.5degC or +/- 1degF) than faster reading thermometers by many other manufacturers.2yr warranty applies even in a commercial environment.(Also have a TFA - Dostmann Thermo Jack folding probe thermometer. Similar accuracy, but faster. Hard to get hold of in USA. Both are made in China.)
