New favorite pen!
Nice little pen. I like brass and I hope that this will gain a nice patina over time. One review said that it is not real brass and shows a magnet stuck to it. We have powerful rare earth magnets at work and I couldn't get them to stick. I did a scratch test and don't see any silver. So as far as I can tell it is real brass. It has a nice weight to it and writes well. It is a slim pen so if you have XL hands it may not be for you. You can purchase refills for it here on amazon. The refill it comes with is nice enough. I prefer my signo 207 refills. The signo 207's are a little thick for the point piece, but in about 10 sec I shaved enough plastic off for a good fit. Sandpaper would probably work equally as well. Again, nothing wrong with their refill, I just prefer the signo that I've used for years. I expect this pen to last a very long time, and for $10 I doubt you will find anything as substantial out there.

Lovely Pen
Some say this is not a tactical pen, but I think it feels hefty enough that if held firmly it could cause some trauma using the cap end, if the clip is lifted to break off leaving a small spike it could cause even more damage, unfortunately you would need to replace the clip, it is indeed replaceable, can be screwed out, the only little gripe I have is that there is no way to secure the cap to the other end when writing, this may become mislayed, I somewhat solve this problem by using the pen with a notepad holder with the cap securely clipped onto the pad and just unscrew the pen for use, The pen is finely crafted and feels good, seem to be using Pilot G2 Gel roller ball fine refill, i am not sure about this though as i can not make out the markings on the plastic refill, looking like a normal pen while having the ability to quickly transform to something deadly has its advantages unlike other attack pens that may be immediately alert the potential attacker that you have something harmful. For the non securable cap i have deducted a star, it is a nice looking and nice writing pen so four stars.

Looks beautiful
But very impractical. The tops of the pens unscrew extremely easily and get lost far too quicky. Many times while having the pen in my pocket the top would unscrew itself and fall off. Makes it far less useful.

Love the pen , which it wrote smoother
Ok so overall I like the pen. solid construction, fit and finish is actually a little nicer than expected. Lock up between cap and pen is flawless this does make for a sharp edge near threads where you hold the pen to write which can become uncomfortable. Pinata is setting in after only a few days happy with the looks of it. However the pen doesn't actually write very well in fact I have resorted to carrying a clicker pen I found around the house because trying to get the pen to write consistently became stressful. There is no place to rest the cap which doesn't bother me personally but may bother some I think the look of threads on the back of the pen would kill the look. IF THE INK FLOW WAS ALIL BETTER.... FIVE STARS!!!! NO BRAINER

Solid pen at a great deal!
Great deal! The machining is solid - when the top is screwed it looks like a solid piece of brass. The weight is substantial and feels great in your hands. I've had it for a month and the patina is already looking awesome. Most important, it writes well! The pen is also a huge hit in the office.....there's been more than a few comments received on the pen.

Perfect for writing a tactical letter
This is a beautifully machined brass pen. The clip is well made and it hangs nicely in a jacket pocket. It looks exactly like the picture, so I am unsure why it has been described as a "tactical" pen. If you want to write a scathing letter then this pen will do a fine job. But if you want to stab someone in self defense, you might want something that has a sharp end to it. My guess is that the description is intended to attract people who are looking for something they can use in combat in the hope that its beautiful minimalist design will win them over. In short: this pen is lovely and if you enjoy lovely things you'll want one for yourself.

Mine is real brass, but the ink is meh
Got this pen as an EDC, I can confirm its brass, No magnet sticking to it like the other post, even drilled it out (more on that later) and it was definitely brass. The ink after a few weeks started flowing really bad, constantly in an out. I wanted to put a fisher space pen refill in there, measured with caliper I knew it would be close. The SPR4 is what I ordered, it was a hair wider at the tip than the factory ink, 2.3mm vs 2.5mm. I drilled it out so it would fit, then had to cut some tubing to make spacers. For the length I cut the factory ink tube to make a spacer. But then it would fall forward, which i had a random piece of tubing on my desk I could slit and put over the end of the ink to stop that. Now its a much better pen than before. The screw on cap is slightly annoying when trying to be quick, but I like it since it wont open in my pocket. The clip with its hook shape can get caught when I don't want, but I like it better than no clip. The overall smooth outside though doesn't get caught and is robust enough to deal with everyday use.
