Greenworks 60V 17in Push Lawn Mower, 4.0 Ah Battery and Charger

A breeze to assemble, this mower is lightweight and easy to push. Battery life is 39-40 minutes, depending on grass height and moisture level. Bought a second battery to complete lawn mow in one go. Mower is easy to start- push button down, then pull hand levers to handle bar. Quiet mowing with minimal vibration. Note that the battery must be given a good firm push to click/lock it into contact terminals to start engine. To remove, a strong push down on the lever above the battery will release it. Turn key is hard to engage for arthritic fingers. Be aware that the battery charger has a noisy fan that runs while battery is charging. Disconcerting if you are unfamiliar with this type of charger. 99% happy with the maneuverability, quality, and ease of use. 1% dissatisfied that Greenworks failed in explaining how the cutting height adjustment is done. There is a button at the center back of the mower body that allows for raising and lowering the mower. Thank you, You Tube reviewers!

I am really loving this mower. Assembly last night was incredibly easy, and after charging up the batteries, I have been using it off and on today. It handles the yard beautifully, it is lightweight, and I am getting a surprising amount of work done on a single battery charge. The only major con for me is the lack of a side/rear discharge chute option. Because it is a 2-in-1 setup, your only choices are bagging or mulching. If you use the mulch plug, the grass stays trapped under the small deck to be recut, which can cause it to bind and clog up inside if the grass is a little tall or holds any moisture. Because of that, I switched to the bag, but since it is a compact 17 inch mower, the bag fills up incredibly fast and I feel like I am emptying it constantly. A discharge chute option would completely solve this issue. Also, a quick tip for anyone leaving negative reviews because the mower is spitting grass out instead of catching it in the bag: you probably forgot to remove the mulch plug. The plug blocks the grass from entering the bag, so it forces it out of the bottom. Take a look at the instructions or watch some YouTube videos to see how to pull the plug out before hooking up your bag, and it will work perfectly. Overall, it is a great, lightweight machine with excellent battery life, just be prepared to empty the bag often.

First time ever with a battery operated mower. I watched a couple of reviews of different mowers and this model at this price range scored very well so I thought it was worth a try. A little background information I live on a US highway. The state comes and mows the front about once a year, it’s common for me to have snakes around my mailbox, so I felt like I needed something that was easy for an older lady to push next to a highway. Pros The price is very good for the product. It was easy to get out of the box. It is easy to push and I’m working on a hill It definitely cuts the grass in a uniform height. There is a quick start guide for how to put it together You don’t need a screwdriver or any a tools to put it together. It’s easy to push it even up a hill. 20 minutes charging the battery allowed me to test out the mower on my hill. Cons It was difficult figuring out how to put it together, even with a quick start guide It took watching three or four videos on YouTube to figure it out. Two of the cam locks absolutely will not bend and lock in place. However, the bolts are easy to tighten Best practice would have been to have two people here - one to hold the handle and the other one to screw it in, doing it as one person I have now hurt my back. There is really no instruction on how to change the cutting height that took another search through YouTube to find it. It appears very easily to scratch it, but that is not going to have anything to do with it use. I would recommend if you’re going to buy it to have a friend hold the handle while you tighten the bolts rather than doing it alone. I would also recommend that you search YouTube videos so that you can learn how to change the height of the cutting blade. I had read on a review of this mower that the battery charger is loud. It is not incredibly loud. It’s not a scary sound. I think it’s a good mower for the price and a very nice first battery operated mower. I would recommend it for a small yard although it does quite well on a hill. Once you get used to using it, you might move onto something with two batteries in it or something more expensive But for a small yard I think this is a good product. I have not fully charged the battery to see how long it lasts so I may update this review after I have done that.

It cuts great, quiet, easy assembly, and light weight. I had not got my grass for about a month, so the grass was between 6 inches to 1.5 inches tall. In the tall and thick grass area, it would clog the bag area a few times. The main reason I did not give this 5 stars is just the battery. If I had one or two other batteries, this would be great, but I’ll need to buy them. My front and back area is about 605 sq ft more or less. So far on my third charge and probably about 40% done. My last charge lasted about 20 mins before it died on me, but again that may just be because certain areas was a little overgrown. I’m happy with the product, but just need another battery or two just for the size of my yard.

I took my chances and bought this lawnmower. Fantastic purchase, it cut the grass perfectly. The charge worked for the entire cut. With still plenty of charge remaining. The best part is, you don’t have to worry about buying gas, especially at these prices. It’s lightweight, no assembly required other than the handle. Great price, for anyone with a standard size yard. Very well constructed as well.

Great lawn mower. This has plenty of power, the battery lasts right around 40 minutes as they stated in the description, and it's light enough that I can just pick it up and put it in the back of my SUV when I need to take it anywhere. I have cut through some deep grass with it with no problem. I am very glad that I purchased this.

I love this mower. As an older lady, I find this easy to push around where I need it. The battery operation helps me because I don't have to pull anything to get it started. I got this to do smaller areas of my yard that my sit down mower can't reach and it has worked very well for me. I highly recommend it.

This is my second season with my greenworks cordless mower. I have a small lawn in my front yard maybe about 30x30 feet. This mower is fantastic. I love it. I cut my lawn about every two weeks that way I don't have to water as much and when the lawn gets pretty long this mower cuts right through it with no clumping at all. I love how it makes no noise so I can cut the lawn early in the morning or late at night without bothering anybody. The battery stays charged for about three mowings on my little yard. I can cut the entire property, my front yard and the entire backyard (mostly tall fescue and clover) which is 75 ft by 50 ft and when I'm finished I'll still have about 25% charge on the battery. The mulch feature works excellent but I like to collect the clippings to use in my garden so I love having the bag attachment. This is one of my better purchases on Amazon.
