I’ve purchased many many primers over the years and this little cheapy impulse buy has somehow become my favorite. The purple one, to be clear. I bought the green too but the purple has worked far better for my 39 year old combination skin. I have texture and large pores and struggle with smoothing everything out but also keeping hydration. This stuff feels and looks amazing even before makeup. Plumping and firming and sticky but not obnoxiously sticky. More so just extremely elastic and grippy. Holds up in hot summers too. It doesn’t block pores so I don’t find my face feeling uncomfortable or sweaty over the course of the day either. It feels like skincare using this primer and it just feels good to use it, it even smells healthy—like blueberry yogurt. The AHA helps control any skin flakes from disrupting my makeup as well. I’d recommend this to anyone, I’m so glad I found it!

Primer is as described and keeps my makeup looking as fresh as when I applied it. Allow it to absorb before applying foundation. Good overall purchase!

Hands down THE best primer I have ever used! My make up looks smooth and freshly applied all day. I do suggest letting it dry a bit longer than most because if not your foundation will look blotchy in areas that are still damp. You won’t need to use an exorbitant amount either because a little goes a long way. It smells sensational too. It truly is an amazing product for an even more amazing price.

This primer has a good tackiness that holds makeup nicely. It is comfortable to wear, light-weight, and easy to apply quickly. The bottle looks purple but the product is clear with a light pleasant fragrance. My only issue, and the reason I took one star away is that I tend to break out a little bit when I wear it, especially on my nose I have an oily t-zone and need a primer that will hold onto my makeup in this area, which it does, but maybe holds the oil a little too much as well. That said, it wasn’t bothersome enough that I would throw it away. I don’t use it daily, but like to have it on hand for special occasions that require a longer lasting makeup application. Not bad!

Trying a few types of "grip" products to get ready for a wedding. This was a good experience for someone who rarely wears makeup. One of my issues with makeup is getting it to stay in place and not transferring everywhere. This product kept my foundation in place like I'd ordered it to, Sit! Stay! LOL. It also did a great job of keeping it from easily transferring & smudging. Where was this stuff when I was younger? I wasn't entirely sure how to use it so I winged it. I put on all my moisturizers first and let them settle down. Then I put this on in a thin coat & waited a bit before applying my foundation. Another benefit is that it helped the look of my foundation. Normally, foundation looks really oil (and I don't like mattifying ones because they look dry/flaky/cakey). With this, I didn't have to keep blotting shine away, but I also didn't look dried out. Honestly, I don't see NOT using this anytime I do wear makeup. As the young folks say, it is game changing.

Not great for oily skin

Ok, I have only used this product once so far. I know that usually that's not a good way to start a review. BUT, I can already tell it's going to be great to use it, considering I've also been trying out several other primers. So far, my favourite primer has been the L'Oreal Prime Lab Matte Setter, I only use it on my T zone and I think it really holds my oils in place (I am not very oily though) and I still have a presentable make up after 5-6 hours at work. Now using this Sheglam on the rest of my face (not on the T-zone) was A-MA-ZING, it left my skin feeling so smooth and it really is gripping, I noticed that my light foundation glided over it and I'm looking at my skin almost 8 hours later and it still looks great. I don't notice any separation and I would risk to say it almost looks like I put on make up recently. Of course, take this with a grain of salt since we all have different skin types and maybe today wasn't as hot of a day and I will have a completely different experience when it gets really hot. But overall, I really recommend this.

Really beyond my expectations. I bought it just to try it but my foundation never looked better. Buy it u will not regret

Genuinely makes your makeup stay on for so long, and isn’t super heavy. There is a slight tacky feeling at first but its not noticeable at all once you have makeup on overtop! Probably what helps it’s staying power tbh lol will buy again.
