The "flavour" doesn't appear until the finger encounters some moisture then, over the course of a few seconds, the most foul, awful taste pervades the mouth; and it lasts for ages. This is a profound deterrent against repetition. Just what I wanted!I am a lifetime nail chomper and tend to nibble the skin too, and I have tried loads of times to break the habit using bitter allows, tough as nails and other stuff. Eventually I always got to almost like the taste! I can't see that happening with this stuff. The crunch (sic) will come about ttwo weeks in when the strange feeling of actually having fingernails usually provokes unconcious nibbling. I am quite optimistic now.I have been washing my hands frequently during the Covid-19 pandemic, and haven't yet had to reapply this varnish after a full week. It is very important not to touch one's moist orifices to avoid infection and for habitual nail biters this is very difficult to do. This product could literally be a life-saver - although of course we are talking about breaking a bad habit - this stuff doesn't kill coronavirus of course.You will need to wear plastic gloves while preparing food or eating with your fingers (e.g. an apple) because the "flavour" transfers easily from your fingers to the food, and you won't want to eat with this flavour in your mouth!This feature has shown me how easily you can be contact infected by virus particles and I am taking greater care as a consequence. It has been an educational experience. Although this is not the cheapest treatment available I think it has been well worth the money. If I had children I would use it to educate them not to touch their mouths and noses during the current crisis.

This has the worst after taste ever.... but in over 35 years this is the only thing that has helped me grow my nails it’s brilliant

I've tried lots of no bite nail varnish. This one is the best so far. You can but a coat on top and still taste it but it doesn't rub on to food (I tried rubbing my dry nail on lettece lol tasted like nothing!) Has so far help but early days. Didnt mix well with my base coat but worked just fine with colours.

For the first time ever my 5 year old has managed to stop sucking her thumb, day and night, thanks to this product. The polish stays on for ages, the taste is quite strong (and terrible) and lingers so it really is a great deterrent. So pleased with the results, I haven’t been able to find anything near as good before.

This does not work. I have tried it and my toddler still chews his fingers. Please don't waste your money.

Bought for partner and it works! Can't stand it.

I was skeptical about this product, but can I say it's fab! The taste is absolutely foul! It's taken since the end of Feb to now to grow really short nails, like half way down the nail bed to a normal length. Feel like it's helped the nails grow quicker.
