Excellent Germination, Massive Sunflowers, and Gorgeous Colors
I couldn't be happier with this sunflower seed collection. Germination was excellent, with nearly every seed I planted sprouting into a healthy plant. The variety of colors is beautiful, but the Red Sun has definitely been my favorite with its rich burgundy petals and dark center. What really surprised me was the size. One of my plants is already over 7 feet tall and still growing. The main stalk is incredibly thick and sturdy, but once these plants reach this height, I still recommend using a support stake, especially if you get summer storms or strong winds. It's a good problem to have because it shows just how vigorous these plants are.The plants have stayed healthy through the summer, are producing multiple flower buds, and have become one of the highlights of my garden. Based on my experience, this is a high-quality seed mix with excellent germination, impressive growth, and beautiful blooms. I'll definitely be buying these again.

50% germination but 100% customer service - full refund
This set of milkweed seeds was $9.99 when I purchased them in January 2025.I placed the seeds inside a damp paper towel, inside a plastic bag, taped against my refrigerator wall with temperatures around 32-35°F. I let them cold-stratify like this for 2 months. My seeds had an average germination rate of about 50% overall, with certain types being more successful than others. This is my estimation based on visuals:Common pink: 90%Showy: 90%Orange butterfly: 50%White swamp: 40%Common: 1%Pink swamp: 0%While I experimented between small soil-blocking and large soil-blocking, all seeds still experienced the same soil mix/temperatures/watering/lighting. The seeds placed on TOP of the soil seem to have germinated better than those further down in the soil.I contacted customer support through their own website and I received a response within 12 hours with a refund! I was hoping for new seeds instead but this company doesn't do that for Amazon orders.Ultimately, given my 100% refund, I'm very happy with my seedlings. While not all the germination rates were great, and I was originally hoping for ~500 plants, but I do still have about 100~200 seedlings with all of my money back.Since the price increase/sale ended, I've found better prices on milkweed seeds elsewhere (e Bay). But I would still buy from this shop again if the price went back down, because customer service was perfect! Rest assured that even if you have problems with your seeds, customer service will help you. There is no risk. Now I just have to wait and see if the seedlings grow big enough for the Monarchs to enjoy!

They Actually Work—A Beautiful Way to Attract Butterflies!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ They Actually Work—A Beautiful Way to Attract Butterflies! We purchased the Milkweed Seeds for Planting a Butterfly Garden, and we have been extremely pleased with the results. The biggest thing I can say is—they actually work! It takes some patience for everything to grow and become established, but once the plants start developing, the butterflies really do come. The package includes clear, easy-to-follow instructions, which made planting simple even without a lot of gardening experience. It's a fun project to watch develop over time, and seeing butterflies visit the garden makes the wait completely worth it.I also think these would make a wonderful gift. It's something different, meaningful, and enjoyable for anyone who loves gardening, nature, or butterflies. Watching the garden grow and eventually seeing butterflies arrive makes it much more memorable than a typical gift.Pros:Actually attracts butterflies once the plants become establishedClear and easy-to-follow planting instructionsSimple enough for beginner gardenersFun and rewarding project for the whole familyGreat way to add life and beauty to a gardenMakes a unique and thoughtful giftExcellent value for an enjoyable long-term projectCons:Requires patience because the plants take time to growResults can depend on growing conditions, climate, and proper careFinal Verdict:The Milkweed Seeds for Planting a Butterfly Garden are absolutely worth trying. They were easy to plant, the instructions were straightforward, and most importantly, we actually saw butterflies visiting once everything became established. If you enjoy nature or want a fun gardening project that provides a beautiful payoff, these seeds are an easy five-star recommendation. They would also make a fantastic gift for a loved one. Highly recommended!

Beautiful cascading growth, but uneven color results
These grew very well, though I should clarify that the white ones were by far the most prolific. The purplish and pink colors followed, but they didn't grow nearly as much, and I haven't seen any of the yellow come up at all. Next time, I think I'll buy the individual colors separately to see if they grow better that way. Overall, I absolutely love how they cascade beautifully over the sides of the pots!

Do not buy. Waste of money.
I followed planting instructions to the T, and these seeds never sprouted. Buying them was a gamble, but the good news is that the company guarantees their seeds. I contacted the company, and they provided me with a full refund.

10 STARS!!
I planted all three colors separately in pots. 99% germination. Now I've got too many plants.

Great germination, mostly Autumn Beauty variety that really thrives. Fun!
This was my first time planting sunflowers, and it’s been fascinating! First of all, germination on all of the varieties was quick, with very few that didn’t germinate after 5 days in a wet paper towel in a baggie. Be ready to plant, because the roots grow fast and attach themselves to the towel. I also planted mammoth grey stripes at the same time, in May in Western Washington. A bit too soon for some, which stayed nearly dormant until July. Where you plant makes a difference - the flowers with morning sun were spindly and bloomed in late August. The ones in full sun grew quite tall and the first bloom was an autumn beauty. In fact, most of the ones that survived and made it to ten feet or more were Autumn Beauties. Some lemon, no tall teddies even though the seedlings were vigorous, one red sun. As a first-timer there were challenges - those started in peat pots struggled over time. Best to cut those pots away before planting. Squirrels and birds will tear up the seedlings, so I bought mesh food tents to cover the plants until they were about six inches. Be prepared to stake the stalks over time, or leash them to a fence, especially when the flower heads get heavy. I read in a few places that sunflowers hate to be transplanted; several times I needed to rescue plants that were crowded or dug up by moles. They may have looked completely dead, but with care they survived, even with the loss of some roots!I continued to throw germinated seeds into my wildflower patch and by August they were thriving as well with rapid growth, getting to five feet high in weeks. I’m getting lots of blooms here in September, with several getting multiple buds. Next year I’ll plant later rather than trying to protect them during spring, as they grow so slowly then. The mammoth grey stripe (not included in these seeds) were not as pretty or as tall. Beware of slugs which like to chew on the thick, woody stalks near the ground and compromise the whole plant. I will definitely try these again next year. I have many seeds left, but I’ll also buy them again.
