I discovered this texture hairspray through a content creator on TikTok who has much shorter hair than I do. She recommended using it right after a shower—spraying it from roots to ends, then scrunching with a cotton towel to create waves, and letting it air dry. I tried it exactly as she suggested, and it worked really well—even without using any other products like leave-in conditioner. On its own, this spray gives me soft, natural-looking beach waves. If I add other products, like leave-in conditioner, the waves aren’t as defined—they end up softer and less wavy. So for best results, I use it solo. I rotate between this and a leave-in conditioner depending on the look I’m going for, which makes it feel like a great value for the money. Another bonus is the scent—it smells absolutely amazing. It also arrived clean, sealed, and brand new, which I always appreciate. Overall, if you’re looking for effortless beach waves without needing an ocean nearby, this texture hairspray is definitely worth trying!

First I LOVE the scent! So I kept seeing videos for “Irish curls” and asked chat gpt about products. It recommended this along with a light mousse. Used it after shampoo before bed and let mostly air dry, planned to use wand to finish hair in am. Woke up with volume and beach waves! Can’t wait to see how this helps hold a curl I put in. My hair feels extra soft as well!

I have tried multiple other products as my hair has gotten wavier in my late 40’s and Ouai is far and away the best for my fine wavy hair, I use the spray and the mousse depending on what I feel like that day. Both are great for air drying hair, holds well, makes hair feel soft and smells great. Does not weigh hair down and holds all day

This product will give you texture and volume for days. I apply it when my hair is still a little damp right before bed. It acts almost as a gel, but softer waves no crunchy curls. I would say it is a good value for your money as it offers the waves it describes. It will not give you a glossy look or add shine to your hair. It feels quite weightless. I have not noticed any drying effect. The one drawback for me is the strong smell. It is very perfumy smelling. Strong smells can be an issue for me, but if that doesn’t bother you no worries there. All in all good quality and value for the money spent, and yes this travel size will fit in your bag no problem.

I have naturally wavy ~2b hair but am over the "curly/wavy girl" routine that actually makes it look good and was looking for a lower-fuss option. How I used: After washing and having hair up in a towel for maybe 20 min, I skipped combing and spritzed this pretty generously throughout my hair. No other product! Then I scrunched/microplopped intermittently with T-shirt material while getting ready and left for work with it still damp. I was so happy with the results! I definitely don't get my hair's full wave potential, but it gives me some shape and casual, beachy waves. Like the perfect "undone but accidentally cute" style. And for SO little effort! I didn't think I was going to like the smell when I was applying, but once my hair dried, I actually really liked it. A light (when dry), kind of herbal?, expensive scent. TL;DR: Spritz & scrunch towel-dried hair for easy, beachy, nice-smelling waves!

I gave it three stars because it does define wave in my hair and give it volume. The reason I took two stars off is the smell. I’m not someone who is typically sensitive to smell but this stuff is EXTREMELY strong. Especially if you have shorter wavy hair without bangs. When your hair falls around your face there is no escaping the strong smell and it lasts for hours. I would purchase it again if it weren’t for the smell.

okay apart from it just being helpful in bringing out my waves, it smells so good. if they made a perfume out of the smell of this, I would be the first to purchase!!
