I don't often write reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experiences with this product for anyone else who might have the same sleep issues I have. I've got a deviated septum which means that only one of my nostrils is about 50% open and the other one is nearly completely blocked. During the day this doesn't cause me too much discomfort, but at night if I have even the slightest blocked sinus I have to breathe through my mouth which invariably leads to a bad night's sleep. Over the years I've tried many different products, different types of nasal dilators, ones that insert into the nostrils. I found these to be uncomfortable and to have rather mixed results. I also became dependent on decongestant sprays which just make the problem worse over time. This product has helped me get off the decongestants, they hold my nostrils open just enough to allow that extra bit of airflow, maybe just 10 - 20% more airflow (don't expect miracles) but it's enough to let me nose breathe most nights. They're comfortable to wear and you quickly forget you have it on. A note on the effectiveness of the adhesive, I wash my nose with warm water and a bit of soap, then dry thoroughly before applying and I find the stickiness to be perfect and lasts the entire night. In the morning I peel off carefully, while holding the skin beside, (don't rip it off quickly and you should be fine). Everyone is different though, i.e. if you're a teenager you might have oilier skin and the adhesive might not work as well or last as long. Sleep is really important and if you're looking at these you're looking for a solution, I think these are definitely worth a try and i'm glad i found them.

I look for 2 things in a product like this - effectiveness and value. These strips deliver both extremely well. They do not have fancy or extraneous packaging or details, but the size of the strip, its adhesion and the strength of the tiny metal springs all combine to work as well - if not better - than the premium priced products I have used before. I have found my nocturnal breathing easier with these than with other strips. They represent excellent effectiveness and value for money and are now my default option. (I did not receive these free, but paid the normal price). Update - 12 Dec 2016: Having been extremely satisfied with these strips, the last batch I bought were not of the same quality. Their "plastic" material seemed cheaper and slightly thinner; the metal rods inside them that create the tension to keep nasal tubes open seem less substantial, and; they come away from my nose almost every night (the previous ones didn't) which means they don't work. Not satisfactory and I hope this is a temporary glitch, but if they don't improve, I'll be using something else. Temporary reduction to 4* - if they improve, I'll put them back to 5 - if not they will drop to a 3* product.

The 'cures nasal congestion' is a little overstated (if possibly misleading)... How to tell if these may help you: 1) Lie down in a sleeping position and try to breathe through your nose. If you have trouble... 2) Gently pull your nostrils out to open the airway. If you can breathe clearly now: These might be just the things you need! Anything else, this is less likely to make a tangible difference. It's half the price of other competitors... what's the catch? Truth be told, I've yet to find it. In terms of quality, it's on par, if better, than others I've used (curse you, Boots' own!). It's reliable, it's gentle, and I particularly like the 'wings' which extend the area it pulls on your nose. A note on the adhesive strength: Make sure your nose is completely dry when you use it. Even something like moisturiser can hinder its application. Once on, it's been immune to my incessant rolling; but peels off gently in the morning (just don't be an idiot and rip it off like you're trying to wax your pubic hair). As for its effectiveness, I've certainly noticed a marked improvement in sleep. It seems I might have been waking myself up with snoring (oops) which was causing poor sleep quality, regardless of the hours I slept or quantities of lavender I stuffed up my butt (or whatever guff they recommend nowadays). Using these, I'm definitely feeling more awake and less inclined to napping. Not a bad result at all! EDIT: Bumped up to 5 stars. Upon the second purchase, there was no longer a barrage of "now we're friends!" e-mails, but instead a small inset card in the package with contact details if we hit any problems. Like millions of people I have a deflected septum which causes breathing problems both when I do high cardio exercise and also when I sleep. There is nothing the NHS will do to help even though the problem is structurally simple. Anyway the leading brand adhesive strips 'Breathrite' are amazing the first time I used one I almost wept for joy, breathing is no longer a problem whilst wearing one. I wear them around the house too and embarrassingly have forgotten that I have been wearing one and left the house or answered the door. my right nostril used to be permanently inflamed and sensitive mainly because I could not breath through it, now it is much less so. I tried these as an alternative brand and for many people I am sure they are okay, however, there are two problems which means that they do not work for me. Firstly they do not have as much spring as the Breathrite and so do not open my nose sufficiently but I can see that they may work for other people. Second is that the adhesive irritates my skin and I can not sleep for the itching and slight burning sensation, again this may be just my skin type, though I have no issues with the more expensive brand. The adhesive is not as strong either. They do cost a lot less and for some people they will do the job but sadly they are not for me. Have been using "Breathe Right" strips for years. They are excellent at what they do (when you find the right size & glue strength for you - the clear plastic ones have lower adhesion than the tan fabric ones). But they work out expensive when using one every night. I've tried a couple of cheap 'nose plaster' brands ("Better Breath", etc) in the past and they have all been pretty rubbish, the design & quality is not the same & they tend to peel off part of the way through the night (useful note: always wash the skin oil off your nose area before applying a strip). I thought I'd try again now there are more brands on the market. This brand has the opposite problem - the strip stuck to my face like superglue & the first morning it took me over 20 minutes to get it off, leaving my face a red raw mess. I tried to remove it dry and there was no budging at all, stuck fast. So tried wet, as you normally do for "Breathe Right Strips" - they still stuck fast, but eventually the heavy wrenching slowly pulled the plaster apart, leaving the glue and bottom side of the strip still stuck mess on my face - which still needed to be cleaned off with a nail brush & hot soapy water. I finally gave in & got out an adhesive remover product (you know the smelly orange extract type) and that finally got the last of the glue off. I've never seen anything like it (see pictures). Unfortunately, as I had used up my Breathe Right strip supplies first, it was months later before I tried these & so couldn't return them for a refund. These should come with a health warning - avoid at all cost! Regards, Mark (Design Engineer).

Have worn these for two nights and have noticed a difference already. The strip adheres well to my skin and stays on all night and I have definitely noticed a difference in that I have not woken up with a dry mouth. I believe my snoring has improved (don't think my husband had to put in his ear plugs!) and I'm not aware of waking myself up through snoring which happened before. My nose and airway feels open and clear and good to have a 'natural' way of breathing. I have used nasal sprays for a number of years and wanted to get off these and this is the ideal solution. I have used other nasal strips in the past which do the same job but a lot more expensive so will definitely be returning to this seller to buy more in the future. Very happy with the nasal strips, comfortable to wear, non-intrusive and I can breathe much more easily - thank you!

In short, these nasal strips actually work - for me. They are, surprisingly, lovely to wear as they considerably improve my breathing by very slightly opening my nostrils, and they do seem to reduce snoring - but positioning is critical, and requires experimentation. I have always had somewhat constricted breathing through my nose - normally only one nostril is working at a time, but they swap round from time to time and take turns - go figure. I am told that my snoring has become worse so I’ve been experimenting with various “remedies” without much hope. For my particular circumstance, these strips do actually work - not perfectly of course, but a big improvement , and I think I’m sleeping better (as well as my wife). They have a springy strip along the centreline which I assume is intended to pull slightly on the outer edges of your nose to open things up a bit. The one issue is adhesion, and I think I’ve got that sorted. You need to really clean (with soap) and dry your nose before applying the strip, then they stick well all night. However, they can stick a bit too well - I’ve peeled off a bit of the bridge of my nose. Solution: I put a tiny smear of cream - Nivea, hand cream, doesn’t matter - on the bridge of my nose to act as a non-stick area. The wide ends of the strip still stick perfectly well and the strip comes off without further nose-loss. So - if you have a generally rather constrained nose, it might be worth giving these a try. I’m using the large size - I wouldn’t say my nose is especially big, but I’m quite big (6ft 2) so maybe nose size scales with person size? Who nose.

Yo uso tiras nasales por problemas de sinusitis y acumulación de mucosidad mientras duermo que me hacen tapones y respiro mal. Desde hace unos años he usado las tiras nasales de la habitual marca que en verdad son las mejores que hay pero son muuuuy caras, 20 euros por 30 tiras. Una barbaridad pero es que a veces no hay remedio... pero encontré estas. Leí muchas valoraciones de gente que llevaba toda la vida con las tiras nasales de la marca que todos sabemos y que estas fueron un gran descubrimiento. LES DOY LA RAZÓN. ¿60 tiras por 10 euros? Por supuesto! Lo mismo de siempre, te limpias y secas bien la zona. Te pones la tira y a respirar bien. El material interior parece menos duro que las otras, y te da la sensación de que no te abrirá la nariz, pero no te asustes, porque lo hace muy bien. Presiona bien las esquinas para una buena pegada y ya esta. Me las he puesto toda la noche. Perfectas. Pero que sigan disponibles para mi siguiente pedido. Gracias.
