How are these on amazon because real birkenstocks aren't sold here? chinese knock off??

They’re counterfeit. I just read an article stating Birkenstock pulled all their merchandise from Amazon in 2016 because of other counterfeits of their products being sold via Amazon...the same article said Nike is ending its 2 yr run with them as well.

Dear Sarah, The "N" & "M" refer to width, N for Narrow, M for Medium. Birkenstock also uses "R" for Regular which is also Medium. The "EURO-METRC" sizing codes can be confusing, many times they will overlap them with US sizing, which can be even more confusing! I hope this helps. What does the M and the R stand for in the sizes? For example, what does 40 R mean?

Birkenstock usually come in two widths. Regular and narrow. Some retailers will say M, medium instead of regular but they are the same thing.

Are these real birkenstocks?

To be perfectly honest with you, I won't know the difference. I wear both and the comfort levels are the same. Whether Betula's or Birkenstocks, I believe you will love them both. I just compared boxes of the Birkenstocks and Betula's in my closet. The information is the same on both. The insole:leather, foot bed:natural cork, upper, Birko-flor, sole:EVA. The same material is used on both and you wouldn't know the difference. I have worn both over 40 years and the comfort is identical. I purchased a black pair, of Mayari, from Zappos and paid over $100. They don't feel any different than the $44 Betula's I purchased from Amazon. They both feel great and who can beat the price at Amazon? Hope this helps.

Super comfortable

I like that Birkenstock had the option for a waterproof shoe since I am always near the water. These are super comfy and really cute. Would recommend highly.

Disappointed

I own about 30 pairs of Birkenstocks but this is my first vinyl/plastic one. Bought it to use while im gardening- side developed a tear after just a couple of weeks and the arch support is not as good as my other birkenstocks, almost non-existent. Idk if its because its plastic? Will never buy this type, again. Waste of money.

Runs longer than regular birks

I wear a 36n in the leather and cork Arizona but the EVA version runs a full size large. They don't make the EVA in 35N, so I am out of luck!

Light as air

Been loyal to Birkenstock for a long time, but have never tried their rubber line! Don’t know if I’ll go back after these. SO LIGHT and it’s great to not have to worry about them getting wet!
