Women's Digital Watch with Stainless Steel Strap - LA680WA

Looks nice, the vibe is classic, simple, somewhat utilitarian. I am a woman with fairly small wrists, but don't generally like really dainty feminine watch styles. Mens and many unisex watches look comically large on my wrist. This one is just the right size. I bought it for a trekking trip that I need a watch for - all I had were my smart watch that I can't be bothered to charge daily and a couple of nicer watches that would be a weird vibe on the trail + I don't want to get them scratched up. I haven't left yet so no feedback on its durability in that environment, but I've been wearing it daily at home for the past few days as it goes fine with most of my outfits - the style crosses well between casual and professional settings. It's very easy to set the time and understand the functions. I think the display is a perfectly readable size for most people but maybe not contrast-y enough for those with some vision problems. My main complaint is that I wish that the case was metal instead of resin made to look like metal, but I understand that at this price point, you can't always get what you want. I think its a very good watch for the price. My secondary complaint is about comfort and fitting. There are pros and cons here. Pros: you adjust the band yourself and don't need a jeweler or specialized tools for removing or adding links. Cons: if you have small wrists, you have a bunch of extra material inside the band that may feel a little uncomfy on your wrist bones. I haven't taken it to a jeweler to ask about it, but I can see that the links don't have the typical exposed pins that make it adjustable so a jeweler might hesitate to bother with this watch. That's just my speculation, though. It's clearly doable but not really designed to be done.

I’m not really a watch wearer, but I have to wear a watch for work. It’s always difficult for me to find a watch that’s comfortable because my wrist bones protrude a lot. I was actually looking through the reviews photos before making my purchase and someone had posted a side by side photo of this watch and my old watch. I immediately knew I had to buy this watch because it’s the perfect size. My next concern was the bands, I have really small wrists. I figured I would be needing pin sized tool to remove the fixture. I looked up a YouTube video and to my surprise all I needed was a fork to let the flap from the fixture to reduce the band. I’m loving this watch. I work at night so it’s nice that it has the little light too. Casio has always been my go to. The instructions were way too follow. The watch was affordable. It’s water resistant so in don’t have to worry about getting it wet. The clasp feels secure, and it has the option of military time too. I love this watch and have been using it for 8 years. (I usually need to replace the battery/ get a new one every 2 years or so). I get so many compliments, and I love that it is so versatile and practical. It isn’t too in-your-face about being a digital watch. Pro tip if you have a small wrist like me- you can replace the band! The original band works fine, but the long tail can be annoying, my hair often gets caught, and sometimes it can be difficult to adjust. I just replaced mine with a 14mm butterfly clasp strap (the description of the watch says 12 mm but it’s actually 14mm!) and I couldn’t be happier. Casio, please never stop making this watch!!!

Casio watches are classic for a reason. I have the smaller one (stainless w/ black face) and love the size of that on my wrist, but there is no light and no date. There's an empty space on one side for a light button, but maybe that would take away from the more "elegant" look they're going for in that smaller style. So, basically I wanted a more-everyday watch with all those aforementioned features (light, date), plus the display is obviously slightly larger which is nice for my aging eyes that won't wear glasses. Some reviewers said this was an absurdly small watch but, as you can see from my photo at least, it's large and in charge. I only wish the "lady" versions of these watches had the removable links like most of the versions marketed toward men. The "tail" on this is a little long and the links are really impossible to even snip off with heavy-duty construction tools without leaving a jagged edge that occasionally catches the skin (we tried on my other one), but they are super easy to adjust to your desired wrist size, and I often change the size on the fly depending on how I'm wanting to wear it that day. So, all in all, totally great watches, and there are so many different metal/face combinations, it's hard to narrow down which one to get (each one would work in a different way). My next and last one (until one of the batteries dies in 10-12 years) will be the smaller gold one to wear with nicer outfits.
