Why did I wait so long?
What an absolutely cool little gadget! And why did I wait so long to try it? I started out by trying one of these switches on a ceiling light that is turned on when I first enter my house. It worked out so well that I've been replacing switches all over the house. What a marvelous invention.I now have these smart switches in all of the rooms in the main living area of the house. It's so cool to be able to control them with the Smart Life App combined with Google Home. I can control all of the lights and ceiling fans by use of a cell phone, or even more convenient, by just giving the voice command. I can't comment on it's use with Alexa, but I'm sure it will, but it works very well with Google Home. These are so convenient that I can't imagine not having them. The only cons are that they sometimes can take a couple of tries to activate them. The process is easy, but it just may not take the first time and may need to be repeated. Once integrated into the system, they stay connected to the wi-fi in the home and have never lost the signal. I have also experienced a slight delay in getting the Smart Life app to link up to Google Home when adding a new switch, but so far it has always worked well.I did have a problem with one of the switches. I had an extremely difficult time getting it to program. After several attempts it would work only intermittently. I contacted tech support and they agreed to send out a replacement, and it has worked perfectly ever since. The only other con is that they only work in locations that have the white neutral wire. My home does have the neutral wire in MOST locations, but not all. Therefore there might be locations that you would like to use this smart switch but can't unless you go through the work and expense of running a neutral wire to that location. This is not a flaw with the switch, it's just that it needs the neutral wire in order to do it's job. I would suggest taking off the light switch cover and checking to see if you have two or three white wires all connected together with a wire nut. If you do, you're fine.Other than that, this is one of the most fun and the most useful devices I've ever purchased. To anyone watching and not realizing what you are doing when you give a voice command, it might appear that you are talking to yourself, but it's worth appearing a little crazy when you gain so much in convenience. You never have to enter a dark house ever again, and when going to bed at night, you can turn off the lights all over the house without taking a step. Absolutely fantastic.

Very Happy with this KS602 WiFi Light Switch
PROs• Easy to turn on via the touch panel, vs the old rocker type switch• Clean and elegant look• Nice blue indicators• Included labels to help mark the wires (load, live, neutral & ground)Cons• Would be helpful if the inc. jumper wires were a tad longer esp. for a 2-gang or 3-gang switch box.InstallationI’m a DIY hobbyist, and a trained engineer, would be helpful to read the supplied instruction insert. When I open the package, I thought I was missing some extra jumper wires. What I found a.) one neutral white wire jumper, and b.) one green ground jumper wire.I email the support line, and got a very prompt reply from Lulu. She indicated that what was inc. in the box was correct, and I needed to connect the Load and Hot wires directly to the new switch.Makes total sense now. From the Internet, How do you determine the Load vs Hot (Live) wires on a switch if they are both black…?a.) Turn off Power 100% at the Circuit breakerb.) Using a non-contact voltage tester—touch each wire independently. The wire that causes the tester to buzz/light up is the hot wire (line side, coming from the power supply) the other wire is the switch-leg (load side, going to the light).c.) If you turn the switch “on” and touch the load side with the tester, it should now buzz/light up.///SUMMARY\\\Many years ago, ~ 10 years ago, when I attempted to do home automation, It was much more difficulty. Now, with the KS602 switch, all the good IoT smarts are inside this unit. No need to have an extra box or hub as a control unit.Just get it connect to 2.4gh Wi-Fi and you are good to go.Also, within minutes of being Wi-Fi connected, it wanted to update the firmware. How Kool is that…😊. See attached photo.

Super Easy Setup and Attractive Backlight
I bought the two pack because I have a double-gang box at the front door. One switch controls the outside flood lights and the other an electrical outlet that turns a lamp on and off.I wanted to install them myself, but when I opened the electrical box and saw the dozens of wires, I decided that this was beyond my expertise (if it had been at another location in the house, I would have been able to do it).The electrician had no trouble installing them. He commented on how good looking they are and the fact that it's a touch sensitive switch with no moving parts. He connected both of them and we turned the electricity back on. They blinked just as the instructions said. I had previously installed and set up an account with Smart Life on my android phone. The switches were instantly recognized and I renamed them put in my router's password and finished the process. One reviewer complained that there were no instructions for Google Home or Alexa. This is NOT the fault of this manufacturer.... every smart Wi-Fi device that I've purchased leaves that setup instructions to Google or Alexa.I opened my Google Home account, allowed Home Life app complete access and the entire installation was completed in less than 30 minutes! The lights work great - I can control them by voice through Google Home, on my andoid phone, and by Internet on my laptop. I set schedules for them to come on at dusk and off at midnight.I especially like the blue backlights. It gives them a high-tech look. When the switch is turned on, the blue gets brighter.I would highly recommend these switches for anyone wanting to create a smart home through Wi-Fi. Though I used an electrician to install them, more simple electrical boxes have quite a few less wires than mine and can be installed by the user as long as you are comfortable with electrical connections. I always say, when in doubt, always have a professional do it.
