I’ve been using L’Oréal Men Expert Derma Control Purifying Gel Cleanser for a few weeks, and overall I’m really impressed — as long as it’s used for the skin type it’s actually designed for. First off, the gel spreads easily, and you only need a small amount (definitely not a full pump), so the 260 ml bottle will last a long time. The scent is fresh and clean, not overpowering. After rinsing, my skin feels properly cleansed but not tight or uncomfortable, which is something I appreciate because many oil-control cleansers can feel harsh. It leaves my face feeling clean and balanced rather than stripped. This cleanser is aimed at oily and blemish-prone skin, and that’s important to keep in mind. The salicylic acid helps loosen dead skin and clear pores, while niacinamide helps calm the skin and support a more even look. Even though it’s a rinse-off product, regular use still helps keep oil and breakouts under control. I’ve seen comments saying it can feel slightly drying — and I can see how that might be the case if you have dry or sensitive skin or don’t moisturise afterwards. For oily or acne-prone skin, though, it works very well as a daily cleanser, especially when followed with a light moisturiser. Overall: fresh smell, cleans thoroughly without heavy foaming, a little goes a long way, and it does exactly what it claims for oily skin. A solid everyday face wash if oil and breakouts are your main concern.

After trying multiple different cleansers over the years, this one is the only cleanser that I feel my face is clean with. I use it twice daily and I’ve noticed a lot less flare ups with acne, less dry skin and less oil. I pair this with the other derma control products and it makes a massive difference. Also, unlike other products, one pump of this is enough for a full face wash and foams nicely.

The gel lathers well and rinses off cleanly without leaving a heavy or sticky residue. I noticed the combination of salicylic acid and niacinamide seems to help reduce breakouts and keep skin clearer; pores feel less clogged and skin appears more balanced. The pump bottle and lightweight gel texture make it convenient to use daily. The only thing to be mindful of is that it can feel slightly drying if used alone on sensitive or dry skin — pairing it with a good moisturizer afterwards helps mitigate that. For oily or acne‑prone skin though, it’s a very good daily cleanser.

Very good for man in 30s

Over the last few years my skin has become more oily in my T-Zone (nose area in particular). It was causing annoying spots to build up around the alae region that would take ages to clear up. I tried loads of different products, and some helped but I'd always wake up with oily skin. I bought the L'Oréal Men Expert Derma Control Purifying Cleansing Gel, and noticed a significant difference even after the first use. I wake up and my skin isn't oily, I shower, use the gel again and I'm good for the day. It smells nice, foams up well and washes off easily. If anyone else is suffering from the same problem, I'd really recommend you give this gel a try, you won't regret it.

Amazing product. Really effective at cleansing skin and helping to keep blemishes under control. Fantastic pump dispenser makes it easy to use. A go to product for healthier looking and blemish free skin.

Suprisingly good, don’t have particularly high expectations but cleanses better than most more expensive brands. Smells great, and good value for money when on offer.

Leaves my face feeling very clean - haven't had any reaction so far which I usually do when changing products (increase in spots for example). Also haven't used it long enough to see any visible differences in pores and blackheads. Only downside is the fragrance, I find it's quite strong and not really necessary.

Great product. Cleared up my pimples caused by sweaty hats almost immediately. I use it daily and have no breakouts.
