SereneLife Small Air Conditioner Portable 10,000 BTU with Built-in Dehumidifier - Portable AC unit for rooms up to 450 sq ft - Remote Control, Window Mount Exhaust Kit

I'm hesitant to write reviews on electronics after just receiving them, so I waited a year to write a review on this air conditioner. We've had this unit since July 2025 (it's currently June 2026), and it still works like a dream! We're actually ordering an additional one for another bedroom. Pros of this AC unit are that it cools FAST. The airflow is strong, and if you point the vents up toward the ceiling, you can chill a medium sized bedroom in ~15 minutes. It also hasn't had a large impact on our energy bill -- only about a $20 increase from our winter electricity bills. We generally only run the machine during the hottest part of the day (~1pm to 8pm), so if you find yourself running it 24/7 at the coldest settings, your results may vary. Cons of this AC unit are related to the noise. The machine is pretty powerful, and the sound of the air rushing out of the machine is on-par with a normal window AC unit. It's similar to a large white noise machine. The machine's on/off/temp adjustment beeps are also loud -- probably so they can be heard over the sound of the fans -- but we've learned to live with that. One neutral comment from our house is the size/weight -- we live in a partially carpeted house, and so when these machines come out, they stay where they're at for the season. They're not overly heavy, but it's an arduous task to pick them up and carry them to a new spot. Moving the machines on hard floors though? Easy as pie. There's barely any resistance. Make sure to consider the floor situation of the room you're putting this in. At the end of the day - it's 1yr later and we're still using our original units without issues. Our new unit is on the way, and we're hoping that it performs the same. If there's been some quality change in the last year, we'll post a new update.

I've had this portable A/C model for two summers now, and I can confirm that it's still performing very well without any issues. I live in a top floor apartment with a south-facing living room so needless to say, it gets pretty toasty in the summer especially the month of July when the heat and humidity is at its worst here in New England. The room is pretty big - about 19' x 16.5' with a high ceiling, and the wall unit in my living room wasn't making a difference despite being brand new and installed when the apartment was renovated. It's small and positioned way too high in the wall to make a difference. All it does is blow cool air along the ceiling and I wasn't getting any relief from it. The SereneLife sits on the floor, so the minute I turn it on I get refreshing cool air blowing where I need it. There are three fan settings so you can put it up higher to cool the place down quickly then adjust the fan to low to maintain it. It's amazing how much water the unit sucks out of the air especially when humidity is high - so be warned that even with the five-gallon bucket I use to drain the water that I'm emptying it often twice a day on really humid days. I love the "swing" mechanism that directs the air up and down. It's a heavy air conditioner - you will probably need someone to help you carry it up stairs - but once you have it installed, the wheels make it easy to move it across a floor and turn it where you want the air to flow. I love that it had a timer function - I have used it to have it automatically come on in afternoon when I am at work to keep my cat cool. The filters are also easy to remove and clean. The window kit was fairly easy to set up but the extra pieces they gave ended up being too long for my window and since I don't have a hand saw to cut one to the right size, I ended up inserting a piece of styrofoam and using duct tape to keep things secure and prevent air gaps. The only real downside of this product is the noise level, but it is an air conditioner, after all. As it's in my living room, sometimes I have to put the volume way up on the TV. I do have a smaller SereneLife unit in my bedroom that worked fine for 14 months before it started giving me an E4 error code and shutting off every half hour - my research tells me this is mostly likely a problem with the internal sensor that is saying the coils are getting too cold when they may be fine...fingers crossed this does not happen with this size SereneLife...hoping I get my money's worth and this will last for many more summers.

Works well for how inexpensive it was. It was one of the few 8000 BTU units that had the output on top, and is relatively quiet compared to others I have. Most of the inexpensive units have the output on the front and tend to blow very cold air towards people in the room (unless you point them away from everyone, but then they are less effective). I would give it 5 if the clip that holds the exhaust hose in place had not broken easily (Duct tape easily holds the hose mount in place, but it was still kind of cheap). Otherwise... the internal mechanical design, the remote, and the controls are fairly solid. I would buy it again for an average bedroom.

This has been a life saver this summer. Our central air is starting to go out but we are waiting til it’s completely dead so insurance and warranty will cover because it was going to be 12k to replace on our own. Our house has been getting to about 80 degrees with the central air and this has been able to get us down to 74-75 within an hour. It can get a little loud when it is up all the way but nothing terrible and once the house has cooled down enough we turn the fan down. It is a little bit heavy for me to carry on my own when it was in the delivery box but once it’s set up it’s on wheels and easy to move throughout the room. I haven’t used the dehumidifier portion since I live in the desert so I cant speak to how well that works. But this is a great portable fan and we’ve been very happy with it. The WiFi option and being able to control it with a remote or the actual appliance itself has been nice.

This is a review for SereneLife SLPAC14 Portable Air Conditioner (14,000 BTU). I had a great AC that died recently. So, I did some research to find the ideal AC, however I had the hardest time choosing one due to lack of information on the AC’s listing pages and lack of honest opinions. So, I’m writing this review to help you make the right decision, or rather to save you from making the same mistake I made. In short, this AC is not good. Stay away. Don’t buy. To elaborate more: - Manual is in broken English. Some instructions are hard to understand. - The AC is heavier and larger than an average portable AC. Plus, you need around 20 inches of space around it, and the hose needs to be 35 inches up and away from the floor. Small room? Low window? No good. - Manual states “When the temperature is higher than 40c/104-f, it’s not recommended to use this unit.” Go ahead, buy this AC, but don’t use it when it’s hot outside. Shouldn’t this be in the product description? Shouldn’t one know BEFORE buying? - Wheels are useless. Needs A LOT of effort to move the AC if you have carpets on your floors. Therefore, it’s not truly portable. You can’t easily move it from window to window, and you might need help to get it to the window you want to install it in. Can’t comment on wooden or tile floors. - Manual states “If the machine is shut down in the cooling operation state, it needs to wait for three minutes before it can be turned on automatically”. And that is exactly what it’s been doing. You set it to cool and pick a temperature. When it reaches the set temperature, it turns totally and completely OFF. Three minutes later, it turns on again, then off. Without switching to fan mood in between. Why is this a problem? Well, you know when you first turn on white noise? You notice it at first, then it blends into the background. It drowns out all other annoying noises and helps you sleep, work, study, etc. Even when it’s loud, you don’t notice it until you shut it off. That’s what this AC does. It turns on with a LOUD white noise, then it turns COMPLETELY off. Doesn’t switch to fan mood. Then, a few minutes later, it turns on again. So you are constantly listing to the sound of white noise turning on and off, repeatedly. It gave me a terrible headache within the hour. It wakes me up every single time it turns off, or on. No restful sleep what so ever. I woke up exhausted and grumpy. If you want peaceful, restful sleep, this AC is not for you. - Control Panel: It sings TELALA in a loud, high-pitched voice, announcing itself to my entire building every time I press any button (panel or remote). How do you feel about your AC shouting at you every time you touch its buttons? If someone is sleeping, and you attempt to adjust the settings on this AC, you’ll wake them up. - Remote: Doesn’t sync with the panel on the AC. If you use the panel to turn on the AC and adjust the settings, then you grab the remote to change something. The settings on the panel will suddenly revert to the last settings you choose the last time you used the remote. All the settings you picked on the panel are now changed. Basically, you’ll need to stick to either the remote or the panel at all times and don’t touch the other. Although, if you want to use the temperature in celsius, your only option is the remote. - Window Kit and Hose: The hose is paper thin. So thin it wrinkles and lets in heaps of heat and sunlight. Window kit is just as bad. Thin plastic. Warps when you close the window, leaves tons of gaps, and doesn’t even fit a standard 35”-36" window. You’ll need to shed an extra $50 for a new kit. - Filter: A cheap thin layer of mesh. Never seen AC filter this cheap. Already showing signs of wear and tear and it’s brand new. - Drain Outlet: There is only ONE drain outlet. Positioned at the very bottom of the AC. It’s so low, it’s touching my carpet. No space, not even for the thinnest pan or tray. If there was a second outlet, you could easily open the bottom outlet (water won’t flow yet), hookup a drain hose, then open the top drain outlet, and THAT will cause the water to flow from the bottom drain. But with just ONE outlet, you need a yard, balcony, or other suitable place that allows for draining without a tray or hose. Many people don’t have such options. Also, when the AC tank is full of water, according to the manual, it’ll start beeping. Who’s in for a midnight awakening during a heat wave because the AC is throwing a fit? - Cooling Power: Even though I got the 14,000 BTU, and the temperature outside is only 22-c/72-f, and the room the AC is in is about 350 sq, I’m sweating! Most likely because the AC is not switching to fan mood. It just keeps shutting down every few minutes. Leaving me feeling suffocated with no flowing air or white noise to save me from my noisy neighbours like my previous AC did! Conclusion: The heat is sneaking upon us here in south California. It’s hard to believe how unlucky I got with this AC. Trapped in this terrible situation. Unable to afford another AC, and have no physical strength, transportation, or help to return it. I just want to cry. So upset. Sad beyond words. Do yourself a favor and look into other ACs from other companies. With that, I end my review and hope that it helped you in your search. Great unit, and mirroring what most of the other reviews said, this unit works great and cools down a 200 sq/ft room very fast and keeps it comfortable. Not so much that great in a 500-ish sq/ft area with vaulted ceilings, but you can definitely feel the difference after 20 minutes of it running. There really aren't any negatives to say about this, but I will say a few things that I've noticed and wish it could be different on the AC unit. It's nothing that would prevent me from returning it, as it does what I need it to do. The fan on the high setting is a bit loud, especially when the unit is close to you but that's expected. Also, there's a fair amount of heat generated from the rear by the hose area - no hot air blowing, but if you put your hands back there you can definitely feel the heat radiating from the unit and the exhaust hose. I would recommend placing this closer to a wall or in the corner of a room. The other thing is I wish this unit had adjustable power, or at least was more energy efficient and drew a lower wattage to save on electricity (and your electric bill). I use this AC unit on a Ecoflow Delta Pro with a 3.6 kWh battery, and it'll run just shy of 3 hours on the Delta Pro, or 4.5 hours with a 400W solar panel connected at the same time. The AC unit consistently pulls 1000 watts of electricity in cooling mode, and it's the same 1000 watts in either low or high mode, so we just leave it on high to cool the room faster. I've seen some 14,000 BTU window units only draw 500-600 watts or electricity, so it would've been nice is this unit was more energy efficient. I wish it didn't draw as much power since we run this unit on a solar generator, as it's much cheaper for me to charge the generator at night than it is to plug in the AC unit into the house wall outlet during the day. Still, it's perfect on those summer afternoons when it gets hot in the house. The last thing I would mention is the included window kit. It's nice that the AC unit comes with an exhaust host and window kit to vent out the heat, but the window kit is limited in the adjustability. There's only a few windows in my house where this included window kit will actually fit, otherwise it's either too short or too long. I bought the Gulrear Portable Air Conditioner Sliding Door Vent Kit ($29 on Amazon) that has 4 sections and doesn't taper the exhaust vent, so I can either put this on our 80" tall patio door or on a much shorter window in my son's room. I wouldn't say the included window kit is worthless, as it still works and does its job. The hose will easily pop off the panel if you're moving the unit around and the hose moves a little bit, but it'll stay in place when you need it to. Overall, this is a great unit for the price.

10/10. I have a fairly large bedroom and this unit cooled it from 84 -74 degrees in 15 mins with the bedroom door open. I was surprised at how quiet it is. I hear air blowing, as you would with a fan. I have not tried the wifi or remote options yet. Super excited to get those going. I was incredibly stoked to get this bad boy up and running as the air is out and we just hit a record on most triple digit temp days here in Dallas area. Got this on sale all in for $260. Day 1 and I am happy with it. Everything you need is in the box. Super easy to set up! Wonderful! Put my size 10 slipper next to unit for scale.

I bought this AC/Unit / Heater in February 2022 for my man cave area of the home. At first everything worked great. Heat was warm and A/C was ice cold with absolutely zero issues. To be honest this is a very simple device that is easy to setup and use. Instructions are simple. I was to preface this also stating this unit was NOT heavily used. The noise level is moderate (it is not quiet) but can be tolerated by turning up the TV or surround sound. I did not expect it to be super quiet so this is not an issue. What was an issue is that at the end of July 2022, It stopped working. AC was luke warm at best in the middle of the a Southern US summer. At first I was just going to toss it out and be out 400+ bucks or whatever I paid at that time. Instead I told me wife let’s see about this warranty which I turned over to her to deal with. At the end of July my wife called the company to request warranty assistance via a number found for them on google. She was able to get ahold of somebody who stated that a claim was submitted and we would receive an email within 24-48hrs. We did receive a complaint ticket # or reference number for this call. After 3 days we received no response or email and yes we checked junk mail. My wife called them again and asked what the status was and again was told she would receive an email within 24-48hrs. After 48hrs we again had no response so my wife called them again and was told again we would have an email within 24-48hrs. She used the complaint reference number each time she called. After the 3rd callback she received an email within 24hrs asking if we did all the simple things the directions said to ensure it was broken. Things such as unplug it, clean filters, drain it etc., basically easy stuff I checked 17 times before giving up. My wife emailed back and forth with the representative whom did state that it was covered and they would be sending us a new unit. We had to send them a copy of our Amazon receipt which is totally understandable. Once the new unit shipped we had it within a week. Since that time for the small amount I have used it… it is functioning perfectly. I did plug the old unit back in just to see if the heat function at least worked on it since the AC didn’t but that also did not work. So to wrap up. When the unit is working it does work as expected, it looks nice and is easy to use. The jury is still out for me on the overall quality as I’m on my second unit. The warranty is there but will require some work to get it. I still have the old unit which I will now have to take to a dump or recycle center. I realize things break unexpectedly sometimes and I am glad I didn’t have to shell out another large sum of money on a different brand. We also have a second serine life smaller A/C only unit that has worked for one summer thus far. I am going to have to see how this unit works over the winter of 2022 / Summer of 2023 to fully know if I would buy from them again. I hope this helps somebody on the fence in some way.

Este producto ha estado trabajando optimamente. La instalacion fue rapida. No necesite de servicios externos. No fue dificil, la caja traia todo lo necesario. Entro en operacion inmediatamente, funcionando muy bien. Lleva algunas semanas en operacion constante y hasta el momento opera al 100%. Solo observar muy bien la ventana donde se colocara el tubo de expulsion del aire caliente que es realmente muy caliente y fuerte, de tal manera que se adapte bien para que quepa y ajuste correctamente con el panel que trae la caja, ya que el tubo tiene correctamente cierto flexibilidad que realmente permite cierto movimiento del enfriador, lo cual es positivo para poder dirigir el aire frio a donde estemos sentados. En conclusion, totalmente recomendable.

Me parece algo ruidoso pero hace el trabajo y mantiene la habitación a una temperatura confortable, mas en estos días de calor extremo. No he probado el deshumidificador porque donde vivo es mas bien de clima seco. Sugiero actualizar la descripción porque alguna funcionalidad, como el modo de oscilación automático. no la encontré, o no entendí su funcionamiento, pero no demerita la calidad del producto.

This is my second summer in Toronto using this air conditioner. The SereneLife Portable Air Conditioner 12,000 BTU has been a life saver. Summer in Toronto is unbearable and this air conditioner helped keep my apartment’s temperature very pleasant. It’s compact, looks nice, relatively quiet, and the front ventilation is very convenient. The remote control and on-panel controls work well, and there is no need to empty water in cooling mode. Very efficient and reliable so far.
