It's a good quality tool that assembles easily, is adjustable, and stores easily in a flat box between usage. Wish I would have bought mine years ago.

Day 1. First I had to un-line my two spinning reals. Line coming off the line was twisted a knotted as it came off. It was originally lined with the spool on the ground pulling thru the rod to the reel. It was a nest of twists just waiting to happen. It was a little tricking at first setting up my first reel, but in a few minutes I was loading my line. The spool was spinning while I was loading and my wife was laughing as it looks like a strange device with the reel and spool spinning around. It just took me 15 minutes to do two spools, half the time it use to take. I did have to give the spool a bump to start the spin but then it worked well. The real test is when I used these for fishing in a week or so. I will try to remember to update this comment. // I have filled 4 reels and been fishing 4 times. I did not have a single line twist issue with any Reels except the reel that I did not fill with this tool. This thing looks crazy and it can be a little tricky getting the spool of line setup on the tool, but then it just goes on quick and easy . It still looks crazy with all the spinning spool while the turning of the reel cranking, but it works. Even works with a wide spool of line 300ft I think.

Ask yourself how often do I FISH ? How often do I loose what I thought was a fish ? How often does the guy or gal next to you first time out on a new pole,reel an line catch those fish you were after ? 😉 I change my line on each pole twice a year ! I fish a close face reel , my wife an daughter fish open face reel . A trip fishing cost me about $90.00 . I buy my line by the 2400yard spool ( $ 60.00 ) I use only 1 (One ) kind of line and only one ( 1 line weight ) 6 pound test . with this devise it will take me about 15 min. To strip and rewind my spool on each reel a sitting . ( I and this is critical will not have any Birds nest on my open faced reels . )) ( I will not have my Wife needing help because of a birds nest , nor will I have anyone else needing help with a Birds nest ))) THEY WILL BE HAPPY FISHING AND SHOWING ME HOW TO CATCH THEM )

This thing does quickly put line on your reel but it is very loosely spooled. If you fish on a regular basis you know the issues that come with that. I did try adjusting the tension and watched several videos. I wanted to give it less stars but it does work just not very well. Don't waste your money.

So... You just got your reel... You just got your braid... What do you do next? Scroll through Youtube tutorials on how to hold the spool with a pen or a screwdriver between your feet, your knees or they'll ask you to get into some other yoga pose. I'm just kidding. Hahaa. But seriously, this line spooler is the best accessory I have ever bought for my reels. I have respooled all of my fishing reels because I have this tool and it wraps line so perfectly. This line spooler will help you immensely, especially if you're new to fishing! What are you waiting for start spooling!

This line spooler does nothing at all it put twist in my line instead of taking it out.
