Thomastik BB111 Jazz BeBop Series, 11-47/12-50/13-53/14-55, 11-47

Excellent strings

I have them on my Gretsch Anniversary I can get a deep twang from the bridge pickup and yet a mellow full sweetness from the neck pickup and best of all they are velvet smooth to play. They last so well (as long as you clean them like any other string) in fact I don't need to change them as often as other brands and the guitar is played everyday for at least two hours.

Very nice sound, feel and look. The warmest strings I've ever played, had to set my amp to the lowest bass level, if you like that you'll definitely like these.

First foray into a ‘proper’ jazz string set, having been frightened off in the past by some of the prices from certain brands. Pleased with these at a relatively lower price bracket though. Punchy and rich and with a definite clear identity and feel of their own. Recommended.

I absolutely love them on my Stratocaster for playing jazz.

I really like these strings and they suit my archtop very well.

My first time using Thomatiks after I had been using a well known brand of half-rounds on my archtop (a modern D'Angelico Excel). Tension and feel of the low strings was good, higher strings not so much. The tone was not as good acoustically or plugged in (through a Fender Twin) as other strings I have used and the tonal balance across and between strings was also lacking to my ears. On the plus side string noise was low and they were well packaged. After 3 weeks of trying to live with the Thomastiks swapped back to my original brand, and was delighted I did so. In conclusion these aren't bad, but to my ears (and fingers) there are much better strings available.

Ampliamente recomendable si buscas un sonido rico en armónicos y texturas robustas, además de gran sustain y larga vida, las anteriores las cambie al año de uso y aún afinaban muy bien y no perdieron brillo demasiado.

Tanto las flat wound como estas son impresionantes. Las flat wound al cabo de un tiempo se vuelven demasiado oscuras. Éstas son algo más brillantes y envejecen mejor. La calidad se paga.

ça sonne! Cordes très douces sans être des flatwounds. J'avais des Elixir et des XL et désormais je ne me vois plus changer. L'équilibre entre les cordes est très bon et le son est rond avec de la clarté quand même. Bref, le bonheur.

la guitare fretless est très heureuse de porter ses cordes agréables sous les doigts
