Compatibility, durability & performance.
I got this cable to connect to a 5K monitor and so far it has worked as expected, fully able to produce full 5K. It works well with both macOS and PC, no issues. I have this going from a third party connection attached to the Mac and can report it works flawlessly. Third party connection is 80GB T5 device. with displayport connection and no compatibility issues. The cable is a looks good and and seems durable and good value for money. From my experience if I needed another cable I would get another one from silkland.

Great product, sorted the problem of my next door neighbours car doors interfering with my monitor.
Had a 4K DisplayPort cable before and could not, for the life of me, figure out why my monitor would randomly go blank for a few seconds. Eventually I noticed it always seemed to happen when my next‑door neighbour locked his car, and then again when another neighbour did the same. Total coincidence that I happened to be looking out the window at the time, but it clicked. Apparently some newer cars use stronger key fob signals, and if your cable isn’t properly shielded, it can interfere with the DisplayPort signal. I looked up this triple‑shielded cable, installed it, and since then I’ve had zero interruptions in my gaming.

Works as expected
Works as expected. I had bought 2 cables but 1 of them did not work and had to be returned for another one. So my only worry is how good their quality check is.

Perfect cable for maximum 8K2K resolution and refresh
Bought this because even though I spent a stupid amount of money for my 57" Samsung G9 Odyssey, they completely skimped on the Displayport cable. If you build a pc all the display windows are on the left yet the included cable isn't long enough to put a pc at the side of the monitor. This cable though, *chefs kiss*, plenty of length, and allows me to run full 8k2k resolution at max refresh. Well worth the money.

Never thought I would review a cable but here we are
I've had a lot of DisplayPort cables over the years. Usually cheap ones, and usually run into problems with them at some point. After re-arranging my office, and buying a KVM switch to run my PC and work laptop through, I decided to invest in some good certified DP 2.1 cables which I could plumb in properly under my desk and use for many years. Research into certified DP 2.1 cables led me to Silkland cables. I am very pleased with the product, and I love that they do the cables in 0.5m increments. This meant I could buy exactly the right size needed (0.5m and 1.5m) for my setup, without excess cabling which can introduce signal noise. They have even fixed a slight flicker I would get occasionally on my monitor when using my work laptop (the cable before this was a cheap DP 1.4 cable from another brand). They are chunky, heavyweight cables. Fairly difficult to bend due to the shielding so if you are working in a tight space you may need to buy bigger than antipcated but the return policy is great so you can always buy different sizes to check first (which I did). Overall I am delighted and would buy Silkland again in future.

3M length delivering full 80gbps
I was a little skeptical that this 3M cable would be able to deliver full 80gbps over such a long distance but it’s delivered on its promise. Rock solid 4 lanes at 20gbps each. So for the money I think its great value. It is quite the chonky cable though and is far from the most flexible so its a little hard to work with in tighter areas but I guess that’s somewhat expected for a cable that needs this much signal integrity.

Working well - extra bit of reach appreciated
I needed a decent DisplayPort cable to accommodate the increased distance one of my monitors was now positioned away from my PC with the purchase of a new, larger desk. The 6-foot previous cable was barely making the connection and it was obviously stressing, pulling uncomfortably sitting in the port of the GPU. Ack. Don't need that. This cable is rated for DisplayPort version 2.1, VESA certified, and can easily handle 1440p / 4K monitors needing gaming-speed FPS. If that matters to you. For me not really, but I went with it because DP 2.1 (which this monitor spec's out on) and VESA certification is nice too. That extra 0.6 foot of additional length (7.2 inches) really helped. I can move the monitor to where I wanted it and the end of the cable going into the GPU port no longer looks like it's applying enough tension to set a mousetrap spring directly into my expensive graphics card. The cable is braided, fairly flexible yet still stiff enough to make me think it should hold up over time. I have had no problems with it working, monitor and computer are communicating as well as they've ever. Problems? Only one I noticed. More of a potential minor issue and really the monitor manufacturers "fault" if anything. The Monitor this cable is going into has its port connections on the very bottom of the screen all facing downwards towards the floor, instead of sideways like some older / less expensive monitors might have. In addition, there is this little "shelf" that the concealment cover uses to lock its tabs into, which sits directly opposite of the ports where cables go into. With most cables - including the power cable, USB cables and so on - they fit into their respective ports on the bottom there deep enough and with enough clearance so the plug / cord doesn't feel jammed in up against that opposite shelf lip. No so with this cord. The plug is just long enough and the cable inflexible enough, that it was a little tough to get this cable to mate in with the port because of that shelf they molded into the back of my monitor. Once I got it seated in, it was fine. Certainly shouldn't pop out or go anywhere! But it did take some finesse. It is set up now, and its working... so I can't complain. I think for the money this is a good cable. I mean, these things are not exactly super high-tech... but they should work as promised and so far this one is performing as expected. Happy with the purchase.

Klare 5 Sterne.
