365 by Whole Foods Market, Organic Sunflower Seed Oil, 16.9 Fl Oz

It's refined so I bought it thinking that it would provide mostly monounsaturated fat but with a neutral flavor, unlike olive oil or avocado oil. I was right. I used it to pan fry some chicken pieces and they are delicious. I plan on using it to make salad dressing. It would also be a good for baking. Other cooking oils have too much polyunsaturated fat. This is a good ratio. It also makes for good skin care.

This sunflower oil has a neutral taste and is a good cooking oil. We also use it for skin care for a child with eczema. Hopefully organic means no Roundup was used in growing the sunflower seeds. The drawback is that it comes in a glass bottle. I subscribed for monthly delivery of two bottles and they came with other subscription items. Unfortunately one unwrapped bottle broke and saturated the box and the other items. Previously when I placed a single order the bottle was well wrapped with bubble wrap and there was no breakage. I do not seem to find a way to notify Amazon for a refund or to tell them about inadequate packaging.

I never write a review before having a reasonable time to test and verify a product, and pledge to make my reviews ones you can trust. This review was created 6/28/24. One of my cats was getting sick of the same varieties of foods, so I decided to try some recipes for homemade HEALTHY cat food. That cat didn't like any of the recipes so, while temporarily abandoning the idea, I ran out of olive oil and used this as a replacement for medium heat cooking. The performance was equivalent to olive oils, and imparted no weird flavors to the food cooked in it. So, I've actually been cooking with this rather than wasting it. Conclusion: Even though this wasn't bought to use for myself, it ended up that way and I'm happy with it. I actually will buy again once I run out. It does add a tiny salt-like taste, but I *LOVE* salt, so I'm cool with it.

Was looking into smoke points and what oils are healthy and which are not. This has a high smoke point which is great for using it along a large heat range. Quality is good, food tastes good plus it's healthier than canola, vegetable and other types of oils in that range.
