Larger bags are repackaged. Clear bag, Tiny China label with "Omitgoter" on it. Sketchy.
I hate thinking I'm getting screwed, but the stuff works, and thats not arguable. 4 qts and larger (I assume) come in clear bags, with a tiny sticker slapped on it. Not like a commerical product, like bulk and repacked. Some other mixes the water just flows right through, this one seems to hold water better, as you can fill it and "float the rocks" and it will slowly settle and continue. If this is still here, I guess Its fine. Way overpriced. Bonsai grew like mad, I'll have to see between the super-fast and this. I don't know why it wants to know about the durability, its old as dirt...and rocks...and bark. Pretty durable?

Really rocky
The appearance is nice but I only gave 4 stars because itโs so chunky itโs like mostly rocks I was expecting a little more like soil It drains really fast

Helped my bonsai bounce back
This soil mix works great. I had to repot my bonsai of 2 years that was looking rather drab. Just a few days after repotting my bonsai looks amazing. Definitely will buy again in the future

Good potting mix
I recently purchased a serissa bonsai and needed some soil to repot it into the container that I got for it. The old soil which it came with was very dense and held a lot of moisture (which these trees typically need), but it can also lead to root rot. A bit in the pricey side (almost $30 for a small bag that just about filled up my rectangle pot) but I love how chunky this mix is!

Bark and stones, not tangible soil
This is essentially bark and stones. No real soil like the last bonsai soil I purchased. Unfortunately, I got this just before a trip to replant some new bonsai plants outgrowing their initial plant pouches and used a watering system (water I noticed ran straight through). All my plants in this soil died when I got back and the other plants in the actual "dirt" soil from the prior purchase survived. I am not an expert in bonsai, but will not purchase this again.
