Nicely made caliper; easy to use and seems accurate. Battery compartment is somewhat frustrating due to the size of the phillips head screws. There is a tool provided but a jewelers screwdriver makes the job a bit easier. Spare batteries is a nice touch. The instrument comes in a hard plastic case. Overall, I'd recommend this instrument as a good value for the price.

Great item at a fair price

One of the biggest problems I've been having is that it loses calibration fairly easily. It's very difficult to give it a true proper reset. I feel like it would have been far better if they had properly calibrated it at the factory and if the calibration reset (so you can test between points) was a momentary thing that simply clears back to a standard calibration from zero if you hold the reset or something. It's pretty easy to end up with negative numbers when I try to calibrate it from zero because I didn't hold it really really tight. Obviously one shouldn't expect too much precision at the lowest decimal with this thing anyway, but it does guarantee that it can be off half the time. One annoyance related to that though is the auto-on function. If it detects any movement it turns on. Unfortunately, as sensitive as it is (as it must be to do what it's supposed to do!) that basically means it's always coming on on its own. It turns back off after a while and it surely uses very very little power, but this does mean it's going to slowly drain over time pretty much just sitting in the drawer I keep it in. Other than that, it gets the job done pretty well. For its price range this is all pretty much what you'd expect. In fact, most of them in this sort of price range probably use just about the same parts internally changing only external appearance. I don't think you're going to beat it for accuracy or general build quality until you look at the really expensive ones for really serious work. As I'm just measuring various components and such I don't need nearly that level of precision and it hasn't really failed my needs yet.

I was very impressed when I opened the package. The first thing I noticed was how heavy it is. There's a glossy, printed cardboard sleeve containing a sturdy black plastic case. The photos in the seller's ad accurately portray the contents of the case. The caliper itself feels substantial and well made. The only obvious plastic is the LCD display itself, the rest is metal. The fine adjustment roller feels very loose but functions perfectly. I've been using the caliper to measure the dimensions of various computer connectors and sockets for a project I'm working on and repeated measurements have produced consistent results. As regards accuracy, I have no idea how this would compare to a top-end scientific instrument, but it's going to be more than adequate for any measurements that I'm ever likely to need. For the price, I'm very happy with this.

This is a great quality caliper and best priced. It has the ability to display measurements in inches and millimeters, It is very accurate, and has an easy to read display, yet it has a bottom to switch the settings.I like the feel function. I like that it has a sturdy case with the insert to keep the caliper from getting damaged. It shipped in a plastic bag with a desiccant pack and a extra pack of battery in the bag. When it's not in use, I keep it in the plastic bag with the desiccant pack to keep dirt, dust, and moisture out.One of the uses I have is to measure my tubing diameter inside and outside. The accuracy is very good. It is stable with all stainless steel.

We bought this caliper to replace some plastic ones that we had been using. When we bought them we were looking for something with more than one decimal place in precision in inches. These calipers are well built and look like they are built to last. When working with them they do not feel "loose" like the old ones we had and the wheel for adjusting is something that helps measure parts accurately.

Nachdem ich mir ein Messgerät einer günstigeren Variante gekauft habe, welche aus Kunststoff bestand, habe ich mich entschlossen, etwas mehr zu investieren und ein aus Edelstahl zu kaufen. Ich möchte erst mal damit beginnen, das Messgerät im Lieferumfang zu beschreiben. Geliefert wurde eine sehr stabile Kunststoffbox mit einem Edelstahlmessstab. Anbei eine gut, erklärte Betriebsanleitung, einen Schraubendreher (Batteriewechsel) und Ersatzbatterien. Alles ist wunderbar geschützt in der Kunststoffbox. Nach dem auspacken war ich sofort startbereit und konnte eingesetzt werden anbei die Fotos für einen Eindruck, wie das Teil funktioniert. Es ist möglich, eine null Justierung einzustellen. Ich hab es mir gekauft, für die stärke einer Feederspitze ( Angelrute) zum messen. Ich hatte sofort an exakt das Messergebnis. Meines Erachtens ist es extrem hochwertig verarbeitet und kann mit jedem preislich höher angesetzten Messstab mithalten. Ich würde mir das jederzeit wieder bestellen und weiter empfehlen. Alles in allem sehr schnelle Lieferung und eine unglaublich gute Qualität.

I liked the look of vernier + the build quality + size.But 9mths later I had to replace the battery which are held in by a small cover with 2 small screws. After removing the screws + replacing the battery 1 screw went ok but the other screwed in but would not tighten enough to engage the battery hence no power to operate it,this may be a one off but it’s left it unusable.This is a flaw in the manufacturing.
