REMETTE GD22K Folding Pocket Knife, 3.6" Damascus Tanto Blade, G10 Handle

I ordered the version with the damascus blade. I'm a simple man. I like simple, straightforward things. This knife is exactly what I need in an EDC and I'm very pleased with it. I love this knife. I didn't expect to like it as much as I do. It has a great feel. I particularly love the texture of the handle and how easily the knife opens and closes. It feels like a great quality for the cost. The damascus blade is also visually striking and stands out great against the black handle. I like that the handle isn't metal. It makes the knife lighter and it's more comfortable as it is. It feels very sturdy and firm. I spent about 20 minutes sharpening it and the tanto style blade makes it very easy and simple to sharpen. I'm sick of almost every knife having a blade that's part serated or has weird curves. Time will tell how well the blade and handles hold up, but I have a feeling it will do alright. If something major happens to the knife like it explodes or comes to life and steals my bank account I'll be sure to update the review, but for now I really do love this knife and I'm glad I got it. There's nothing exceptional about it, I just like it. And that's all I need.

I loved the look of this knife but wasn't familiar with the brand. I've been using it as my EDC for a number of months now and I'm really happy with it. Despite the length it's very discreet when clipped in the pocket. The knife was a little tight upon delivery but a little WD-40 and it glides open very easily and in a very satisfying manor. It has a nice feeling and balance while open and closed. Using this knife daily, I'm impressed with how well it's holding up without signs of wear.

The knife seemed very good at first. but recently the internal mechanism to open it completely shattered. Which makes me question the steel used. Damascus shouldn't shatter unless the metal didn't fuse properly. its basically useless now and a hazard.

Not too bad

This item came as described, single newspaper page cutting sharp, opens and closes beautifully. The blade looks to be actual Damascus sandwiched around a (supposed to be a D2) solid core, It has a pretty pattern in the Damascus that is enjoyable to look at. The construction and assembly seems flawless (the liners are really nice and beefy) and it come with a wiping cloth and wrench. I'll be getting more Remette products in the future.

Absolutely my go to EDC. Solid knife, love the finger flip. Slimmer design makes it easy for jeans or a suit pocket.
