Not a reliable sensor
Presences are not detected reliablelly. Random firings of detections at all different times whether or not something is there or not.

Great automation device
I am using this sensor to operate a light in my pantry. My hands are usually full when going into the pantry so it helps to have the sensor turn on the light for me. Settings are pretty sensitive so it took a lot of trial and error to get to a point that I am happy with. On the top end of the sensitivity range it was turning on the light when I passed down the hallway that was behind the wall at the far end of the pantry (about 6 feet) or when I passed by the door entering the pantry. Connection to my Zigbee hub was easy. You will need a nearby electric outlet to power this sensor. It responded much quicker than the motion detector I originally tried for this application.Update: 21 April. The sensor is now keeping the light far longer than needed after I exit the pantry. I have the setting as low as it will go. And I feel like the sensor is getting slower to respond to my presence in the pantry. Time to look for something else.

Great detection improvement over PIR!
This is a great new design presence/motion sensor that has amazing fine-tuning controls in the Tuya/Smart life app! Unlike PIR motion sensors, which just register a heat change, this uses 5.8GHz waves to establish presence and movement in a field depth and sensitivity you set in the app (there are half a dozen settings, from distance to sensitivity to time.) I got this to monitor my old dog in the kitchen (the settings let you adapt for or exclude small animals), when she gets up at night and needs to go out. I made a simple SL automation to turn on a light in my bedroom, waking me to put her out before there's an accident. The other plus is, this is the least expensive 'motion sensor' I found, if you already have a Tuya zigbee hub. I think these will be replacing PIR motion sensors, they're so much better and more adaptable!

Meh...No ZHA compatibility in Home Assistant
Yeh, I got it to work in Home Assistant...barely. First major problem is that you have to download a specific file called an "External Converter" from a list of very poorly named and organized files off their Github. I have seen better organization from a fifth grader. Then if you are using another one of their Zigbee presence sensors with a different chip in it, one or both of them do not work even if you add an external converter file for each one. I don't see a file that would cover all their presence sensors which would be the smart thing to do. Like other brands do as well as computer manufacturers do with hundreds of drivers all-in-one. In order to get one to work, I had delete the other's file out of my Zigbee2MQTT config folder as well as only specify the correct file name in the External Converters section in the settings of Zigbee2MQTT. As stated in the title as well, there is no ZHA compatibility. It will pair, but it doesn't work at all. I was not happy about this as ZHA is less complicated and there is a distinguishable difference in speed. My lights turn on faster with ZHA after a Zigbee sensor triggers them. Pairing has also been faster and far more consistent ZHA.As for how it operates, it constantly reports incorrect distances. I can be sitting right next to it and it reports me a meter or more away even with min distance set low. It is very sluggish to report there is no longer any presence detected. And the minimum delay to report no presence detected is 5 seconds after it does not anymore. That is extremely annoying. Especially because it is sluggish in reporting no presence and then waits for 5 seconds after...it has taken 20 seconds or more at times to shut off a bathroom light after leaving. That is not good, I don't want to have to hang around to see if it shuts off. Defeats the purpose. It does work as a Zigbee Router though which is about the only major positive I could find. This thing is cheap for a reason unfortunately. After testing so many presence sensors, I have found only a couple of WiFi models that are truly accurate and don't impose dumb restrictions. Admittedly they are a fair bit more expensive, but well worth it when you factor in their speed is a multitude faster than Zigbee and more reliable if you have a good WiFi network. These Zigbee sensors will be given away with such a disclaimer.

Mine never worked and wouldn't reset. It was a paperweight.
DOA - Red setup light didnt flash or blink. Reset button didnt work. It just sat there with the light on steadily and wouldn't pair with anything. Sent it back.

Works with MQTT on HA , same as Tuya
On Home Assistant, it works over MQTT. Includes Illuminance reading

Difficult to connect
I couldn't get the product to connect to either the Smart Life or the Tuya Smart App.I was able to get it to connect to home assistant, by adding the Zigbee2MQTT integration. But the network map didn't work as expected.I waited a long time (2 months) to receive this item and will be returning it.

Excellent accuracy and granular control
This presence sensor is a huge upgrade over the old-fashioned passive infrared sensors. The accuracy is awesome. Sure, it'll pick up when someone walks into a room, but it will also recognize when someone is sitting very still, even while holding their breath! It can also figure out the exact distance down to under 1 meter. (Yes, it's metric - I couldn't find a way to switch to archaic units). So, using just this one device, you can set up an automation that only triggers if someone sits in a specific spot or range or spots. It also has a built-in luminance sensor, which I've found surprisingly useful. Currently, I'm using the lux sensor to recognize a cloudy day and offset the reduced sunlight by gradually adding in more light from the bulbs. Getting this set up within the Smart Life/Tuya app was very easy. The automatic scan found it without me having to do anything more than plug it in. The app provides a lot of granular controls for sensitivity, distance, and timings. The device runs off of USB-C and draws about 0.4 watts, so it could be hooked up to a battery pack, too.
