Great value composition for the amount paid
Okay so I don’t usually write reviews but this one deserves it. I ordered the Tygatec Supersonic RC Car from Amazon after randomly landing on their website (tygatec.com) and seeing some videos — and I’m honestly shocked at how good this thing is. Right out of the box, the build feels super solid — like, not plasticky or cheap at all. You can actually tell it's meant for hobby use, not just for kids to crash around. the chassis is tough. I accidentally hit a wall at full speed (oops 😅), but not even a scratch. Still running smooth! Now let’s talk SPEED — it’s insane! This thing rips. I don’t know the exact number but it’s fast. I drove it on tiles, pavement, gravel, and even my backyard lawn — zero issues. It grips really well and handles turns way better than I expected. The 4WD and the suspension are actually doing their job. The remote is also super responsive — no delay, and you can feather the throttle or steering depending on how you drive. It feels smooth and in control, even for someone like me who’s not a pro at RC stuff. Battery life is decent — I get like 18-20 minutes of solid fun per charge. You can definitely buy extra batteries if you want longer play sessions.

Great RC car but with some minor issues.
This is a very good hobby grade RC car to play around with. Runs fast and control is precise. And if you break something then you can get parts from Tygatec website and repair it yourself (But I think they cost more than they should). Only gripe I have with this RC car is that the battery capacity is very small, only 1300 mAh, which gives an approx. run time of 15 minutes at max speed. Additionally, the design doesn’t leave much room to put a larger battery. Still, I purchased a 2500 mAh battery (same specification as original) and added it by making small holes in the chassis and then tying the battery using zip ties. My friend also purchased it, but his steering was not properly calibrated, so he had to manually calibrate it. There are plenty of online videos on how to do it, though not for this car, but steering works mostly same in most RC cars so it was easier to replicate the process. The car might not be entirely waterproof, but I can say it is at least water resistant. I drove it in the beach, over some water as well. It ran perfectly, but after some time the sand went inside and messed up my steering. It got fixed after I washed it. If you want to wash it then remove the battery first and don't pressure wash it. Dry it thoroughly before using it again. Overall, it is a great RC car which you can buy and enjoy.

A fantastic hobby grade truck
I bought this Tygatec Supersonic RC car a year ago, and my son and I have been thoroughly impressed with its performance. The 4x4 drive and metal gear transmission genuinely delivers on its high-speed promises. It's a fantastic hobby-grade truck that is well worth the purchase. Highly recommended!

Average product. Not VFM at this price.
Giving 3 stars only.. Love the product, but it should be priced lower given the niggles. One : there is a permanent curve in the drive path no matter how much you adjust the steering trim. Two: battery sucks! Period. 3 months down the line it doesn't last for probably more than 12-15 minutes on the lowest speed settings.

Problematic.
1. Battery life : Decent. 2. Functionality : Unreliable. The car suddenly stops without giving any alert. You need to wait for it to cool down, and manually go and push the power ON button. Also, if the car is running at low speeds for more than 1 minute, it shuts itself down. There is something wrong with the onboard temperature sensor, or the ESC is not programmed well to use the temperature signal appropriately. 3. Quality : Decent. Above average. 4. Movement : Forward - good ; Reverse - bad ; Steering - Unpredictable ( automatically locks itself in undesired position and keeps making noise ). 5. Remote Control : Equipped with basic features. No feedback display or indicator. No audio feedback. Stays ON even after the car automatically shuts itself down. • Steering wheel control is accurate. • Throttle trigger ( accelerator ) is accurate. • Steering trim pot is accurate. • Throttle trim pot is partly accurate ; +a = accurate , -a = inaccurate. • LED switch is a normal push-to-ON button and it is used to select and set the blinking pattern - 1. slow blinking, 2. fast blinking , 3. solid light. Just okay for low speeds and basic performance ( if you are getting at a discounted price ). For stunts, off-roading, and racing, NO ! For children above 12 years. The car can cause harm to life and property if not controlled carefully. Section A : 1. Nice appearance. Nice lights. 2. Responsive. Decent forward motion proportional speed control ( reverse control needs tuning - at low reverse speeds, the car becomes motionless and keeps making humming sound ). 3. Decent battery backup. 4. Decent build quality. Combination of soft plastic, hard plastic, and metal parts. So obviously the weaker parts will break if you are going to perform stunts and taking the car for off-roading course. 5. It is actually fast. It has potential to cause harm to property and life if not controlled carefully. So it should be controlled by a responsible person. 6. Steering and Throttle/acceleration limit trim pots. 7. Nice turning radius. 8. LED blinking pattern is controlled by remote control. Section B : 1. Motor heats up quickly, and this automatically shuts down the car. The remote control stays ON even when the car automatically switches itself OFF. You need to remove the cover and push the ESC's power ON button. This is not good. The car should become active and connect itself with the remote control. The small heat sink is not that useful because there's no proper air circulation inside the car. 2. Reverse needs tuning. Reverse control is not that good. Each time you will have to use the throttle trim pot to enable the reverse motion at low speeds. Otherwise the reverse works only at medium and high speeds. This seems like ESC design and program problem. 3. Randomly, the steering servo gets stuck and keeps making a low, meshing sound. This event occurs frequently. You need to move the steering wheel in the opposite direction to silence the servo and bring the steering to neutral position. Good quality 5-wire replacement servo is hard to find. 4. Shock absorbers are not that good. They actually make clicking sounds and resist to bounce back. This is because of the plastic build material. Unreliable dampers. Performance of the wishbone suspension is average. 5. The tires are very thin and flimsy. They can easily get damaged by sharp objects and rocks. 6. Tires contain no gel, foam, or sponge. They are hollow. 7. Motor driver needs tuning. It gives audio feedback whenever we send low speed signals. 8. Remote Control does not give any feedback. 9. Received the box without any seal and without any wheelie set. The user manual mentions that the box contains a wheelie set. 10. Ground clearance is bit low. The plastic base will easily catch scratch marks while performing some stunts and off-roading. 11. Spare parts are difficult to find. You can calculate, design and build new metal parts as you like to achieve better performance. 12. Overpriced. 13. Warranty terms. Read the user manual to understand. 14. Medium quality plastic parts. The wheel hub and front axle makes a clicking sound while taking a sharp turn ; audible when the car is slowly moving. So this section is weak. 15. Wheel alignment. The wheels wobble ; a nightmare, if you are going to perform sharp and acrobatic moves. Regularly check the alignment of wheels. 16. Automatic shutdown : once the car is wirelessly connected to the remote control, the car expects to see a command/signal from you. If there's no signal, the car automatically shuts itself down after few minutes. You will have to go and push the ESC's power ON button to start the car. 17. No lubricant, no basic cleaning accessories provided in the sales box.
