Solid power supply
Works well. I used this to replace two smaller power supplies in a diy computer rack. Solid performance.

Appears to work as expected
Early days (so that's why only 4 stars) but seems to perform OK - currently being used to power a 4-bay USB3 storage unit requiring 5.4A and does so adquately (after the one which came with the storage unit failed a few days ago).

Great replacement power supply
Hi,I needed a replacement power supply to power my CCTV digital video recorder, and this fits the bill perfectly.It has a nice high rating of 6 Amps, and though I don't currently need any more than 3-4 Amps just now, this 6 Amp unit allows me to expand the system later I wish.Its nice to see a unit with a earth fitted. Most are 2 pin connectors only(I know they don't "need" an earth as they are double insulated, but I'd rather have it there). Also nice, are the Aluminium and copper heatsinks, helping to get rid of the internal heat, which probably explains why in use the unit is only warm to the touch. I'd be happy temporarily placing it on a carpet or such without worry.The leads are nice and long (description states 2.8m). The plug is "Rubbery/soft plastic" feeling Forgive my description, but that's how it feels. A nice grippy finish, and an easily accessible fuse holder.Appliance connector plug is Center positive (as "most" things are nowadays), but do check your existing power adaptor label , or appliance label. The "dot" in the center with line should have a positive symbol, and the "C" around the outside with the line should have a negative symbol.Please note. There is NO Led indicator to show power status on the power brick.I have not used DTK before, but I will use again if I need another adaptor. Might be a £ or 2 more than another one on Amazon. Works, but has a distinct whine
Using it to power 2m of lightstrip, which is well below the capacity of this suppl and it still has a whine. Might return it yet.

Plenty of silent power
The PSU for my telescope requires a min of 3A and has recently showed signs of fan failure. After checking the spec I ordered and received this PSU. Being 6A and less than half the cost of my previous PSU I am extremely delighted with its silent running. No more fan noise late at night!
