DF64 Gen 2 Single Dose Coffee Grinder (Official Seller) (Black), Small

I’ve been using this grinder for over 4 months now, and I’m ready to review it. It’s just plain awesome! I’ve tried a few less expensive ones, and they don’t hold a candle against this puppy. It’s extremely powerful, fast, and very adjustable (infinite adjustment). I’ve used it with and without the bellow attachment, and it works just fine either way, although I may 3d print a funnel to use it without the bellows. I use the catch cup most of the time and just pour my beans in and then collect what comes out without puffing the bellows. When I weighed the difference, it was like +/- 0.02 grams. Very low retention! The anti-static thing in it is amazing, no more RDT! The burrs seem to be shimmed/aligned fairly well. Close enough where I don’t want to disturb them. The grind seems very even. This version of the DF64 seems to have solved every issue with v1. I love it! For the price you get a basically all of high end grinder features for a great price in my humble opinion. I would totally recommend this one to friends and family. Note: You should not use water in your beans with anti-static grinders. Don’t worry, you won’t need to! The only thing I could possibly complain about it is that it’s a little noisy, but it doesn’t seem to bother my wife or kids if I get up and make a shot while they’re still sleeping.

This is a terrific coffee grinder. The uniformity of the grind is obvious to the naked eye, the grinder retains virtually no stale ground coffee (about 0.1g), and there is almost no static. Plus, this grinder allows very minute adjustments to the grind. This grinder is way better than any grinder I have ever used, and I highly recommend it.

This thing is built like a tank. Worth every penny. Wish we had bought this first before wasting money on a vastly inferior and overpriced product (brand rhymes with ragazza). It's relatively quiet, very simple to operate, and seems like it will last a long time.

I’ve had this grinder for all of six hours, and I am already elated with its performance. I Baratza Sette 270 for years, and I thought it was the best low price grinder that you could buy. I was wrong the DF 64 is even less expensive, it is very much quieter, and the results are spectacular. Using the same coffee, I get three times the crema. I’m happy.

Had this DF64 grinder for awhile now. It's perfect, so glad I have it. A bit pricey -but- it works every time. It's heavy, easy to clean. FYI, 'never' set to '0' (zero) as the blades will destroy themselves. I wouldn't go below '5' (five) to be safe. Stay away from Oily looking beans - will quickly plug the unit. What's the saying - Ask me how I know.

Read a lot about this one online and I was a little worried about how it would grind, but it has been awesome since unboxing. I still spray my beans a bit to really reduce the static but I’ve tested without and it doesn’t stick too bad. The consistency of the grind itself is awesome, though I do find the grind adjustment a little cumbersome. I have to use the bellow just to make sure the last bit of grinds comes out and I think the bellow looks a little silly. I had also read that the grinder is really loud but I haven’t found that it’s loud enough to bother. All in all a great grinder and is clearly a step up from the gen 1 comments I was reading

Been wanting to upgrade my Breville Smart grinder for a long time. I like that it is a single dose and zero retention due to the flat burr. Yes, it can be a bit loud, but the pros overweight that. No setup needed. Very easy to operate right of the box. Needs some time to dial in if switching from the old grinder. Once dialed, the results are impressively consistent. Every morning I brew dark roast espresso for my hubby and medium roast for myself, so single dose grinder is a must. I’ve done a lot of research before buying. The best in class is Niche zero but I can’t see myself paying over a grand for a grinder. DF64 g2 is the next best thing and at a reasonable price on Amazon. Maintenance is a breeze too compared to my old conical grinder. Very happy with the purchase and can’t recommend enough.

This is the grinder everyone should have. One, it's reasonably priced. Two, it's more important than the espresso machine you buy or already own. And if you have a Breville with a built-in grinder, you should still get this one. It's much better. Make your dial-in drinks top-notch!
