Royal Brown Basmati Rice - Authentic Long Grain Rice - 10 lb Bag

I was over the moon when I saw that my partner and I’s favorite rice came in a 10 lb bag! The aroma and taste of the rice is amazing. Best texture I’ve found so far. Prep couldn’t be easier. Cooking time is about average compared to other rices but overall it’s the best I’ve found so far! Will definitely be purchasing again when this bag runs out! If my cat doesn’t try to unravel the bag first 😂

Royal Brown Basmati Rice is amazing. It cooks up light, fluffy, and separate every single time. The nutty aroma fills the kitchen, and the long grains have a wonderful, wholesome texture. It is high quality, healthy, and elevates every single meal we make. Best part about this rice and why I love it so much is because the long grains stay firm and never get sticky or mushy. Highly recommended

I bought this particular brown rice as it has a better flavor than what I get in the local store. Plus Basmati rice is different than regular rice. I've taken the majority of the bag and ground it into flour. I have kept a little bit aside for eating. It's excellent rice. Would love if it came in bigger bags for a better price, but I know it's not in high demand.

Apologies for the late review but after purchasing this product I did not get to use it right away but after opening it and using it the first time, the rice was very good. Unfortunately when I was going to prepare more a couple of weeks later I found several winged bugs in it and after digging through it discovered that there were a lot of them in the rice . The rice was in a sealed container so the only conclusion that I can come up with is that it was full of the insect eggs when I received it. Will never order products like this online again.

I removed one star because the plastic packaging was already open, and there was rice scattered throughout the bag.

I just purchased this rice after learning that brown basmati rice has a lower glycemic index than other types of rice. I was pleasantly surprised that not only does it taste good, it steams well. The rice was fluffy and "light". A nice purchase.

I've been buying this brand of white rice for years. I love the rich flavor and smell of it. The brown is even better and in my opinion much healthier for you. (that was in summer of 2017) update - june 2018 I guess I'd had the rice a month or so and found it had little bugs in it. When I was a kid we called them weevils, but not sure that is the name. I also bought organic oats. It too had the little bugs in it. I thought maybe the bugs went from the oats to the rice. However when I opened the other bag of rice I'd bought it too had the bugs in it. So I had to throw out 20 pounds of rice and 25 pounds of oats. The only common element is that I got it all on Amazon. I'd love to buy it again, but not if it is full of bugs. update - April 2019. I don't know what happened in 2017. So many things I ordered had the little bugs in it. I had my second unopened bad of this brown rice in my pantry. I thought I had already opened it, but I hadn't. The other rice I'd opened before was white Royal Basmati rice. The unopened bag of the brown was solid and dirty looking with a funny looking mass in it. And they bag felt like it weighted more than it's orginal 10 pounds. I just threw the whole thing away. Since then I have bought another bag of white Royal Basmati (some time last year, 2018). It is find.

I love Basmati rice, both white and black, and Royal is a reliable brand. I can never resist sewing a lining into the burlap sacks to make a cute portable bag.
