Low protien for failing kidneys.
My cat is 16 years old, kidneys beginning to fail so the vet put him on this food. He doesn't care for it. With the vets ok, I mix about a teaspoon of summer squash baby food in with and apparently it is more palatable as he now eats it.

Palatable
My 12 year old cat is now on renal diet with kidney failure. She likes this pate. Tried several others, eats this the best. Happy to give wet food for water content vs kibble. Sweetest kitty ever. Will do whatever takes to extend her life.

My kitty would not eat the Science Diet kidney diet food but loves this Purina Pro Plan brand kidney diet. Even my other kitties who do not need to eat this prescription food would rather eat it instead of their regular food.

My cat won't eat this
This was recommended by the vet. The struggle is real with special kidney diet foods. I tried this because my cat liked another prescription diet by Purina. Unfortunately, she will eat around this one in her bowl. We gave it an honest effort, trying to hide it by blending it in small amounts with other food. This requires a prescription from your vet to order. We have almost a full case left unused.

hippievet and NF Function Early Care--Great Team
This cat food is helping to keep our feline from dealing with more serious kidney issues. It's his regular food and he enjoys it. We switched vets awhile back and the new vet is the one who recommended it to us; an excellent recommendation. For the first time, we ordered it through hippievet. The order came quicker than expected. We will order from hippievet again. Thanks!

UPDATE: No longer Less expensive than my Vet but my old cat loves it :- (
The product is great, my old cat loves it and I am glad I could purchase it without a prescription. However the suppliers are something else entirely. Cannot count on the vendors and there is a vast swing in prices and added freight. Going to buy locally from now on.

Maybe great for picky eaters.
My cat who is at times very picky likes it thankfully since he has to be on a special diet now fir his kidneys..😊

My little cat loves this food!
My little guy is super picky about her food but took this brand immediately. She loves it (nothing left in the bowl!)
