Worked great!
My AC went out and my husband bought this to fix it. We had used a friends before but figured it was time to own one for ourselves. We are happy that it comes with a storage box where everything has its own spot inside. It makes it easy for storing away in the garage or in tool boxes. I personally like that the box is blue instead of black or red like most other specialized tool storage boxes so it makes it easy to spot when trying to find it or explain it to someone else that may be looking for it for you. The price was good and the quality seems as good as the auto part store ones. My husband thinks the gauges read accurately with no issues because my AC works again and haven’t had issues yet. Definitely recommend any handyman or handywoman buy this item because you never know when you’ll need it! You definitely save money fixing the AC yourself instead of hiring someone to do it!

AC Gauge Set - Works Perfectly
I do vehicle repairs for myself, friends, and family. Part of that includes fixing air conditioning systems. I only need to use the gauge manifold a few times a year. Since I'm not actually making money with the repairs, I can't buy more expensive sets. When one breaks, I have to go with what I can afford at the moment. This was one of those purchases. I have 4 sets now, with this one fully working, and the other 3 at various states of brokenness. After finishing the most recent car, I hooked up my old gauges, to pull a vacuum on the system. Both the high and low side gauges were hard against the max pins. {sigh} I blindly pulled a vacuum, and ordered the new gauge manifold set. You can do the job with a gauge that doesn't have the vacuum section, but it is best to be able to see that it's right. The gauges moved fluidly throughout the whole charging cycle. The quick disconnects were easy enough to put on and take off. That's not always easy on the high pressure side, but that's normal. Everything you see in the photos, except for the actual can of r134a and the temperature/pressure reference card, were included with the set. You really should have the temperature/pressure reference card. I just printing mine from the Autozone site, and laminated it with packing tape. It's much better to be able to reference from the card, than to just guess at what it should be based on what you remember from the last time you looked at the chart. I do have a couple complaints, but they aren't a big deal. I'd like it if they'd do it for the next version. First is, my old set had dummy connections to snap the quick disconnects on. The back of this set has the male threaded ports to thread the hose directly onto, but nothing to hook the quick disconnects to. Most people doing automotive work need the quick disconnects. Even if they just included a male quick disconnect fitting, that threaded into the male threaded posts on the back, would have been great. The second is the reference card. I printed and laminated my own. It would have been nice if that was included with the set. I'm not in love with the pump/can line adapter on the yellow hose. The other manifold sets I have screwed onto the pump and cans easily. This one, doesn't do it very gracefully. I'll probably swap in the yellow hose from another old set that broke. TL;DR, if you need a manifold set to fix your AC, this one will work fine. At the price, I can't complain. There are plenty of more expensive options, that provide the same functionality. Some of the competition sets have less features. Like no hoses, or no quick disconnects.

Works
It's no expensive gauge set, but all tools have a price point and audience. This is a $1000 car and a $400 brand new ac system. Condenser, dryer, expansion chamber, hoses, and compressor. Not a high dollar car or anything and I don't do this for a living. For the $ cost of this set, it's great. The only thing it is lacking is a way to purge the air from the yellow hose when filling the freon. That can be bypassed by removing the hose and hooking the freon directly to the gauges, not ideal, but won't damage the system. Besides that, this is great for your once every so many years redo of your ac. Vacuum pump (does not come with one) works well with it and it did it's job saving me money from having to take it somewhere. If I had an expensive ride or super expensive ac components I'd probably not go this route, but here we are with a 2002 Saturn and I have 40º air coming out!

Works really well to do an AC recharge for the car
Connected this to the AC service ports in my 2013 Kia Optima that uses R134a refrigerant to check the pressures, which has a notorious problem with its thermal expansion valve. This product performed very well and read accurate pressures that correspond with the hot air from the AC system. I also need to point out that I attempted to use this on a 2020 model vehicle with a good working AC for comparison purposes but did not realize it uses the more modern r1234yf AC system, thus my valve connectors did not fit. I still plan to have the system evacuated, then I will vacuum and refill the refrigerant after replacing the faulty expansion valve. I look forward to updating this review afterward. UPDATE The recharge process went well and these gauges were excellent. Definitely a great purchase for the DIY person who needs something inexpensive for a few uses. No leaks at all.

Worked perfect for pulling a vacuum on my minisplit
I’m not sure what the difference of professional grade and this but these gauges worked amazing for just pulling a simple vacuum. One thing I will say about those gauges if that the lenses for the gauges feel cheap but they do what they need to and very accurately.

Great for pressurizing
Well for starters, the performance is good the sound quality is very low to where it doesn't make a bunch of noise it is pretty durable I'd say. The quality is good because the size is compact it's got a little weight to it but you know it's not going to break because it's not plastic it's metal. Now the one thing I really do like about it is the pressurizing by using it to evacuate any fumes or any little bits of liquid out of any pressurized container is pretty good and it makes sure that it holds its place for pressure the connectivity is easy to assemble easy to follow but one thing that it does not do so well is replenish the refrigerant in your AC line as well you have to buy a separate can pump that actually has a gauge on it to put more refrigerant in your AC line but this helps pressurize it to where when you do put the 134a or whatever refrigerant you have in your vehicle it creates such a vacuum packed that any liquid that hits that chamber immediately gets dispensed into the capacitor which means you're not going to get a bunch of air in there unless you put the air in they're yourself. Overall it was a complete success. Both my vehicles have AC and I did not have to pay $1,000 mechanic bill to get my AC refilled.

Nice set of gauges for the price
I needed a set of gauges to replace a set that were borrowed and never returned (shame on me). I am a 40+ year heavy truck technician (retired) so I didn't want to spend a ton of money on a new set of professional Master Cool gauges at my age. I saw this set for a very good price and decent reviews so I took a chance. I used them today and they worked very well for what I needed then for. There were two minor things that I had happen to me during my first use worth mentioning. The first was that the hoses loosen up way too easily on the quick connect fittings every time you move the gauge set around. I had it blow some refrigerant out of the system before I could get to the fitting to tighten it (and frost burned my hand reaching in there). The other thing is the can tap is terrible. It took me 3X as long as it should have to put one 12oz can in the system the way it trickles through the tap. If you buy this set, just buy a better can tap. No big deal. I still recommend these for occasional use once in a while. They just are not for made for everyday use as a professional technician.

Mala calidad
Desafortunadamente lo probé más de 1 mes después de recibirlo y el producto falló. La aguja se mueve de un lado a otro.
