A Very Good Alternative to Beats
I tried the Beats headphones that are a comparable price to these first, and while I liked the sound and aesthetics of those, I found that the inserts did not fit me properly, and were either too loose or too tight. If you are like me, then you will appreciate these headphones as they fit similarly to the Apple headphones of old; they sit on your ear but do not actually create a seal which can be uncomfortable. I use my headphones for 12 hours a day or more, so comfort is very important to me. The sound is very similar to Beats, to the point where I may not be able to tell the difference if I had to. Beats have a bit more bass perhaps. These are easy to setup, and the fact that they have an app that allows you to customize the controls or sound settings is great for the price. For me the only real downside would be battery life. I have always been a holdout to the world of wireless headphones, so having to recharge headphones at all is new to me. The battery life gives about 6 hours of active listening, then needs a charge. Beats do last longer. On the other hand, these charge very fast, and in 20-45 minutes you get another 4-6 hours of music. It’s pretty easy to find a half hour throughout the day where you can charge them without feeling like you are having to check your watch and wait. These might not be as cool looking as Beats, but they more than make up for it in very good sound quality, reliability, and customizable features.

Buy them on sale
I purchased these to replace my SoundPEATS Air3 Deluxe HS a predecessor of the Air5. The sound from the Air5 is as good perhaps even better than the Air3. I noticed the lower frequencies are more noticeable. The most significant change between the Air5 and the Air3 is the in-ear detection function. The Air5 doesn't include this function which can be useful at times. Audio or video can pause or stop when one of the ear buds are taken out of your ear. However, Bluetooth connectivity is inconsistent and slow. Occasionally, the headphones wouldn't connect with my iPhone and announces it's in pairing mode. I would have to put the earbuds back into the case and take it out again to successfully connect. The touch controls are a fraction of a second delayed. Whenever I double tap to pause or tap once to change volume there is a slight delay. The app for the Air5 needs improvement. The previous version I've used with the Air3 was unusable, ninety percentage of the time the app didn't work at all. The app for the Air5 overall have useable controls and the EQ controls do work. The app can be slow and it takes a few seconds to locate the earbuds. The battery capacity is similar to the Air3, approximately 4 hours of runtime. To extend my listening or viewing time, I use second pair of the Air5 while the other is charging.

Great sound for music and podcasts
My previous SoundPeats Air3 Deluxe HS suffered a tragic, life-ending accident. Since they worked so well I thought I'd get one of the newer versions. So I got these. The sound quality is great. It works well enough for me with the default EQ for both music and podcasts but you can tweak it to your liking. They are comfortable to wear for long periods of time. The main reason for not using the in-ear-canal version. The battery life is great too. This is the first set of earbuds that I've had that allows dual-device connection. I tried it out and it seemed to work fine but I'm not likely to use it much since I like my laptop to be quiet. So I turned it off to get LDAC support instead. The case that houses them is a bit different from the ones I had before: the earbuds go in at a bit of an angle instead of straight up/down. I think that it makes it a bit easier to get them in since you don't have to align them perfectly.

Good size and fit, questionable durability
I like the shape/fit of these a lot, I don’t like the type of earbud with the rubber caps that stick inside the ear. However they only lasted about 8 months before starting to break down, which is maybe fair for the price tag. So they’re okay, cheaper than AirPods which can also break down faster than you’d like.

Great Sound - Terrible Battery Life
I had these replaced about a month after purchase because they couldn’t hold a charge through a basic 8-hour workday. At first, they were great — the first week or two, no issues — but after about four weeks, I noticed the battery started failing. I figured it might just be a bad set, so I got a replacement. I really liked the sound quality and had previously used the Air3 (which I still have, although their battery life has dropped too — but they’re over two years old). Now, I’m at the tail end of my second pair, past the return date, and I’m having the same problem. After just 4 hours, the battery runs low. Very disappointing and frustrating, especially since it's hard to find Bluetooth earbuds in this style with decent sound.

Phenomenal AirPods Gen 2 Replacement
The Generation 2 AirPods are officially dead. I tried to purchase refurbished models off Amazon to no avail. Each came with horrendous audio quality that was strikingly different from the original AirPods. I had to give up. I went on a journey seeking a replacement ear bud that matched the all day comfort that is highly subjective. In comes these SoundPEATS Air5 Lite. They match the fitment close enough for me to not notice a difference. They bring modern USB-C charging so I can finally toss my lightning cable. Audio quality is better than I would expect. HAPPY CUSTOMER!

Disappointing connectivity/reliability paired with iPhone
I really wish these Air5 lite earbuds worked for me. For the price, the features are great. They seem well made. The noise cancellation for the mic seems like it works well; I haven't gotten any complaints when I used them on phone calls/FaceTime/Zoom/etc. Sound quality is good, way better than my old 2nd gen Apple AirPods. The PeatsAudio app allows useful customization. The tap gestures are a bit fiddly, but once you get used to them, they're easy enough. Sometimes I find them to be uncomfortable/painful after 15 minutes of wear and I need to spend an annoying amount of time trying to reposition them to get comfortable. I think the shape is not a great fit for me, unless I position them exactly. My main issues concern Bluetooth and compatibility with iPhone/iOS. First, after removing the Air5 lite earbuds from the charging case, they often pair with my phone immediately. But too frequently, it can take minutes. This is **incredibly** frustrating when I'm trying to answer a phone call, or about start doing something with my hands while trying to listen to a podcast. I haven't been able to discern any reason for the length of time to connect to my devices. Whether leaving them in the charging case for a matter of minutes, or over an hour, seems to make no difference. They might connect immediately, or it might take a truly inconvenient amount of time. This **never** happens with my old 2nd gen Apple AirPods. The second usability issue occurs less often, but is much more severe. Frequently, without any notification, the audio source on a call will switch back to the phone's earpiece & mic from the earbuds. It's very frustrating, and it makes me feel like I can't rely on them. This **never** happens with my old 2nd gen Apple AirPods. I keep my phone and apps meticulously updated. Same with the firmware on the Air5 lite earbuds. I've followed troubleshooting steps, including un-pairing and re-pairing the earbuds with my phone, and resetting the headset from the PeatsAudio app. This seems like it helps, but the same issues always come back. I've owned the Air5 lite earbuds for less than a year, and I've had to reset them too many times at this point. All in all, I'm very disappointed. I was hoping the Air5 lite earbuds would be a good replacement for my old 2nd gen Apple AirPods, but they fall very short in critical functionality/usability/reliability when using them with my iPhone.

Top Tier
Holy Cow! These are legitimately some of the best headphones I have bought. I myself am a headphone consumer. All different brands, companies, types, and price points. Name brand, off brand, cheapos, all the way to multiple hundreds. I have to put these at the top of the list. I cant believe price to quality ratio. A definite value add. These shine in the following categories. .value .quality (hard single casing. In my experience these have always lasted the longest) .Sound (Out of the box with no equalizer changes. Single handedly the loudest pair I have with no drop in voice quality) .Charging case (satisfying snap and click) . I cant speak to battery time but this being my 4th or 5th pair of sound peats. Battery has never been an issue. In fact its a definite area they shine in. FYI I always loose 1 headphone so end up buying more. It has never been because they break. The only thing i would love to see is the ability to make a loss headphone chime. If SP were to do this I'd never buy from any other company

Nice and comfortable
It works good even though some reviews are bad, it doesn't give me a headache or hurt my ears when using even at a higher volume like other more expensive ones I tried and had to send back. Its similar to the fit of the original AirPods but just turned a bit. The app is good also.

Great customer service, great headphones
I bought a pair of these wireless earbuds for my son’s 15th birthday and he loves them, they are pretty much a wardrobe staple now. Sound is good, quick charging and good overall for the price compared to Apple etc. We did have a problem after a couple of months, the sound became muffled and then dropped out. I downloaded the app to reset the headphones, and then reached out to customer service. They were amazing, quick response, loads of advice on how to fix the issue, and finally the offer to send a new pair once we had tried anything. Keep the box so you have the serial number, etc, but I would buy again from this brand, highly recommended.

Good Sounds Quality In This Price
Soundpeats Air5 Lite: Impressive Sound and Value for the Price! I'm genuinely impressed with the Soundpeats Air5 Lite earbuds! For their price point, these deliver fantastic sound quality with surprisingly punchy bass and clear highs, especially with the LDAC codec activated. They're incredibly lightweight and comfortable for extended wear, making them perfect for daily commutes or even light workouts thanks to their IPX5 water resistance. Call quality is also a strong point, with AI noise cancellation doing a great job of cutting out background distractions. Battery life is solid, and the quick charge feature is a lifesaver. While they might not have all the bells and whistles of premium earbuds, the Soundpeats Air5 Lite offer exceptional value and a truly enjoyable listening experience. Highly recommend if you're looking for quality on a budget!
