Exactly what I was looking for
First time wine maker here. Was looking for a good primary fermenter for a 3 gallon batch of wild grape wine. Ended up landing on this one. Very happy with my purchase. The 6.5 gallon capacity is the perfect size and it means I can scale up to a 5 gallon batch next year if I want. The container itself seems very good quality, and the lid and included air lock grommet seal very well and my first batch is currently bubbling away. I like that it has a carry handle so I can prep the grape juice in the kitchen then carry it to the basement to fermenter. Although I dont plan on using the charts and note taking areas on the side it is a really nice included feature

Fantastic for wine making!
Used it to make plum wine. The lid seals TIGHT and can be a little tough to open, but that’s what you want to keep all the precious alcohol inside! Made about 4/12 gallons of wine with 8lbs of fruit in a brew bag inside of the bucket. Bucket is very sturdy and was able to be picked up and put ontop/ off of the fridge with no issues.

Peel the quality seal thing off from below tabs
I saw someone say the lid is single use. It's not, there is a ring of plastic you peel off just under the tabs you pull to open like on a normal lid that doesn't have that. Works as advertised. Before you brew, clean with soap. It has a plastic smell. I cleaned with soap, rinsed and cleaned with alcohol and rinsed again. Smelled nothing but the tap water I used to clean it

Size
I have been increasing my quantity due to volume of products ( trying to see if I can handle large amounts). The only problem is the lid is EXTREMELY hard to open. I can see if it was a screw off

Great bucket
Great quality, perfect fit for my needs, zero leaks, it was easy to install the heating element for my boil bucket.

Removing the lid
I removed a plastic strip around the lid and lid can be removed with normal effort.

Taller than regular five gallon buckets, but same diameter.
Good quality bucket. I use it for a camping potty because it is taller than regular five gallon buckets, and the top fits those toilet seat pop-on covers.

When I received it, I cleaned it out with sanitizer. I used it right away. It's brewing 6 gallons of white wine for me right now. Couldn't be happier.

It is pricey but not many other options on the Internet. Did found almost the same one in my local wine brewing shop and it was way cheaper, but if it's not an option for you than this does the job. Good quality, only complain is the price.
