Very good olive oil
I find myself trying many different kinds of olive oil, often buying the 3 litre or 5 litre tins as I consume quite a lot as it provides decent value for money. It seems that a peppery taste is one indicator of high-quality olive oil and this one certainly scores well on that front. In fact, the last different olive oil I purchased, Elea Creta Extra Virgin Greek Olive Oil, which clearly is also from Crete and available in the same 3 litre and 5 litre tins, tastes pretty much exactly the same as this Ophellia olive oil. I'm not an expert in olive oils, but I can't tell the difference between the two so will just buy whatever is cheaper next time.Having watched the odd TV documentary about food, and in particular olive oil, it would seem that the veracity of olive oil can often be questionable. There have even been books written about the murky world of olive oil production (Extra Virginity: The Sublime and Scandalous World of Olive Oil for example). Even expensive olive oil bought in supermarkets can often apparently be of dubious purity. Even buying a large quantity like this, you are still paying more than double the supermarket price per litre for extra virgin olive oil but it is probably worth it in my opinion. You'd hope that having the Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) that this olive oil is what it claims to be, and I have no reason to think otherwise having sampled it. In my opinion, this is an extremely good quality olive oil.The best before date was just under 15 months after the date of delivery. The tin depicted in the listing images and the nutritional information displayed is exactly the same as what I received, which is not always the case with food purchases.

Smooth and Slightly Fruity
I cannot do without my five litre olive oil shipments. Natural foods work really well for my overall health and well-being and decent oil is really important!I love Greek cuisine and have mastered many dishes (learning from the best Greek home cook ever) - this olive oil works for everything. The smooth and slightly fruity palate is just right for this oil, Cretan oils are different to those from other regions. I'll have an olive oil cellar one day.I do go for price so I often change suppliers but this one is reliable and worth using again and again.

Perfect Quality, Taste and Colour
I run a small Chilli Oil business call Ginitiative using recycled Gin / Spirits bottles and need to use a very high quality and tasty oil. This one is the best I have found so far, well done Ophellia. I have used 40 litres already of your oil and am about to order some more!

Fantastic Oil
Excellent oil, from the first sniff and taste of this night and day to what i was buying from the supermarkets, it has a strong aroma of freshly squeezed olives, i am no expert but i can only imagine this is the real deal compared to the expensive brands i was buying from the supermarkets.

OPHELIA first cold pressed. YES!
This oil really does taste lovely, the colour and viscosity is exactly as described. The Cretan sunshine comes through. Short recipe:- slice of wholemeal toast, taken off the grill or toaster, topped with a teaspoon full of Ophelia, (more if you like) poured evenly all over, then eat. You won't believe how delicious this is until you try it. The uses are endless,But it is best added to food after the food has been cooked, because over heating any Olive oil, changes it's properties and ruins the flavour. Pour it all over everything. It is that good.

Good value, high quality evoo
Love the oil. Only problem is that some makes have a second cap on the top to let air in as you pour. This doesn’t, so pouring is not so smooth. Doesn’t detract from the oil though!
