GET ON WITH IT!!
Right, let’s get this clear, I’ve been reading Walking Dead from the start. I can’t give up now otherwise I have wasted countless hours and hundreds of pounds investing my self in this once exciting saga......it really is trying my patience though! This is another boring instalment on the zombie apocalypse treadmill.....things are shaken up though as this time the regular team meet a community who are not quite as they seem.Shock!!!!! Its only the bloomin storm troopers from Starwars commanded by BA from the A team (although he might be a good guy really) and theres a smiling blonde haired woman in overall charge with a posh son who’s a bit daft. What happens? Well I won’t spoil it......but Rick knocks about a bit whilst always being right. Folk cop off with each other, sometimes whilst wearing weirdly drawn pants or having a weirdly drawn face......let’s be honest, no one knows who anyone is anymore or indeed actually cares so might as well just have blank circles instead of heads from now on.Wait.....it does get better!Sometimes there’s some other people who say forboding things, possibly about winter coming or war or something.....but, no one really knows who they are either so to hell with thier opinions. Stand on a wall looking thoughtful m all you want missus. Now I’ll stop joking as there are some highlights (spoiler alert)....A guy grows some tomatoes and smells them, a kid doesn’t like them. A guy looks at an old train, he later discovers it’s not in bad shape (I can’t wait to see what happens here, I hope we can have a full issue of train mechanics). At one point our old enemies the zombies turn up, never fear, gentrification sorts them straight out when an old woman gets very angry about expensive wine being given to poor people at a seaside town.I am not trying to be funny BTW, these things happen!!I want to scream GET ON WITH IT!! Shake things up!!Have a jet in the sky.....a ship approach the costal town but then depart.....ooooh what could be going on then?? I don’t know but it’ll be better than a lad with a hole in his face being concerned about his pals love life.

A good volume, if a bit of a step down from what came before.
This was a very entertaining read with the great character moments I expect from Kirkman, and some decent plot turns. It was definitely more padded than most volumes however, and I saw the ending coming a mile away. Knowing what I do about future issues in the series though, I can forgive the shortcomings in this one, because the story paid off epically.

Printing error
I finally got around to reading this volume today. And on one of the pages early in the book there is a large splash of what I assume is printer ink making some of Rick's speech unreadable. Whilst I am aware it wasn't intentional I have to say it seems like a complete disregard for customer satisfaction in image comics part. This hasn't happened on any of the other 30 volumes I own and it comes across as lazy

Another five minutes of content stretched into a whole book
Once again a few (very few) interesting story developments are stretched over far too many pages. Carl finds a friend, probably. Or doesn't? Don't care any more. Everyone is amazed that Hilltop has been rebuilt so quickly but we didn't see any of that so there was little point burning it down in the first place. A lady thinks she knows best and doesn't do as she's told but then her coach goes near some zombies and she's learned her lesson, in an obvious and boring fashion. Rick shouts at Michonne a bit and melty face man has a bad time, which helps to prove something or other to someone. Yawn. When was the last time we saw someone get eaten by a zombie?I wish I'd never started reading this series because now I'm in too deep to stop and every book is an exercise in disappointment. People reviewing it positively "because it's better than the TV series" - ok, so what? A punch in the face is better than getting hit by a car but I still wouldn't recommend either to a friend.

excellent writing
the story continues to impress, with how they come up with new ideas and where to take the story.
