One of many books I’ve brought for my bass guitar learning

Handy book

I bought this as a gift for my son who is starting to learn bass guitar. He was chuffed. He said it's well written and helping him progress his bass guitar skills.

Has some useful information in it but tries to cover too many musical styles to be good value.

Christmas gift for our bass guitar playing Grandson. He is delighted with it and said he will learn a lot from the advice it contains

I think it’s among the best instructive and illustrative music books ever, for the bass beginner players. It gives you a clear image/sense of how to learn to play the Bass guitar at first level. I wish this book would include a audio cd/video dvd, with the parts/samples included inside, but it doesn’t matter. Great choice for me I bought this book.

A great book to understand TABS in music. good clear explanations. For the new bass player, it gives a good insight and very helpful.

I am a beginning bass player around 5 years and was in a rut. Where was the fun in the bass, bass instructional videos and theory books were boring and didn't get me to the right place. This book brought excitement and life to my bass. The riffs were great learning tools and the songs, I enjoyed. A must buy.

Was expecting more modern songs but still a great book to practice with.

The third song is in 12/8 time signature, ridiculous to expect any beginner to be able to advance so far in 3 songs., I'm sorry I bought this book.

Very basic book. Took 10 minutes to go through. If you know the major or minor scales plus triads you are far above the level of the book. I gave it 2 stars as it may be helpful to a novice.
