I love this brace!
I have had drop foot for over four years now, and finding a comfortable brace that fits in shoes has been my biggest struggle. The braces I have been prescribed by doctors have been upwards of $500 as well. I figured I had nothing to lose by trying this inexpensive brace. I love it! It's very easy to trim the foot plate with household scissors to the size of your foot. I find it less bulky than the other braces. It's not heavy duty, so it might not be right for everyone with drop foot as the severity varies from person to person. It definitely works for mine and the price is great!

Works well as an AFO.
Thank you soo much. OK, so I'm a retired surgeon. I'm 75 and developed a right foot drop from Anterior Tibialis Tendonitis compartment syndrome 11/24. I have loss use of my right peroneal nerve. I have been struggling with walking due to the foot drop after about 1-2 blocks. I received this AFO today and walked over a mile with complete comfort and stability. I enjoy walking again. OK. So adjust this AFO as needed. If you're getting this, you have some mechanical skills. Put your foot fully in the AFO and mark the end of your toes. Use scissors to trim the end. File the end to make a taper. Place the AFO in your shoe, then place your foot in the AFO and attach. It works fine. Thanks.

Cheaply made and super narrow
I had used this Swedish brace following back surgery four years ago and it worked well for dropped feet. It lasted for about a month then broke. This is more cheaply made, thinner plastic, too narrow and thin straps. Couldn't get the women's size on as it is way too narrow; and I have very narrow feet. Plastic rubs and very painful just to try on even with socks on. Maybe a men's size would be wide enough though I decided not to try another one because of quality.

Not perfect!
This is not the first drop foot brace I've ordered so I know what works. The positives include being lightweight and thin - so it fits into my sneakers (which I wear a full size bigger than used to for the braces.) The negatives include having the heel too narrow so it rubs after wearing for a while. Also, there is no padding on the plastic that goes around the back and sides of my calf. I ordered adhesive foam, very thin to accommodate this. Overall, even with the negatives, this brace works and that is what matters the most.

It’s works but it could be constructed better
I bought this for my tendonitis in my ankle. It works, it keeps me from bending my foot but the construction is cheap. It does t have anything to hold the brace to my foot. I had to use athletic tape to keep it secure. The straps around the calf and ankle are just glued on. It’s just a cheap design.

I'm glad I purchased this brace.
I purchased this back in September and I just now started wearing it. I have foot drop, this is wear your toes drop and you can't pull them up to properly walk because of nerve damage. Sometimes if you don't lift your leg high enough your toes trip you and you fall. I started walking with a cane because my balance was off to eventually graduating to a walker. Not fun for this 61 year old grandma. I have started physical therapy for the 2nd time, so, I brought the brace to the physical therapist and they helped me with putting it on. I was STUPID for not wearing this brace! It really does keep your toes elevated so they are not drooping to the floor to where you trip over them. I wear it to work and I have noticed a huge difference. I can walk more normally now and I hope to get some of my balance back after physical therapy. Don't hesitate for the price it is worth it.

Fantastic
I ordered this for my mother. She has foot drop and the doctor has been telling her she needs a cane which she refuses because she is super active. She was at the physical therapist for a shoulder issue and mentioned falling and the foot drop. He suggested this brace. It's working wonderfully! Mom says it's comfortable light weight, and most importantly she can step up without tripping! I wish we knew about this sooner.

This brace just doesn't meet my physical needs-
I am searching for another AFO that is light weight and can be used in my many different shoes to avoid wear and tear on my prescription brace when I change shoes. My prescription brace is less than a year old and already showing cracking due to changing shoes for my active lifestyle. But I am not satisfied with this brace- I was thrilled how light weight and sizing was true but plastic foot doesn’t have the necessary “flex” for my problem; there isn’t any cushion to protect from rubbing bear skin and absorbing sweat; it would soon lead to chaffing and skin breakdown. I’m disappointed that this brace isn’t the one to meet my needs.I'll still be searching! I am VERY impressed with your prompt attention and ease at returning the brace and refund. Thank you for great customer service.
